Confused, do I need a bed frame or box spring, both? Help!

Awesome video! lol... I was cracking up at the wheels comment! I have 2 beds with wheels. lol... I needed a new bed and I was pretty upset that I could not find box springs and frames with wheels. Your video explained alot including the purpose/value in each item. I do actually move my bed, but you are right that I do not vacuum under it. Buuuuuuut I am pretty good at making sure that I do not have things under my bed. lol.... In either case, thanks for the education. I am going to keep looking and you did answer the question related to metal foundations vs wood foundations and which is better. Thanks.

As someone that owns a frame on wheels, I can tell you from experience that the lack of weight distribution (as Jeff explained) over time has caused areas of the frame to bend. The flat-footed design seems like the superior option.

I bought a mattress that was put on a wood slatted foundation. The mattress was hard as a rock to sleep on. I couldn't believe this mattress was so hard sitting on slats. I had to use my old 10 year old mattress with its boxspring because I even tried my 10 year old mattress directly on the slats and it was also hard as a rock to sleep on. Does anyone have any ideas on what i could do? Previously i never encountered a problem buying a mattress.

I have a Twin XL that is from the Bellagio Certa collection and it is HARD AS A ROCK to sleep on because it is on a HARD AS A ROCK box spring. I can't find anything that gives me good information as to why or what to replace this box with that it is currently sitting on.

DO NOT REMOVE THE MATTRESS TAGS! On 2/16/2022 had my new mattress and wooden box frame delivered from a "mom & pop" mattress store that I like. Within 2 days the mattress has bowls on the top sides and a street speed bump in the center from head to foot of mattress. The wooden box frame audibly creaks in the corner when sitting upon it ( I am 5'2" 155lbs). So only having this mattress and wooden foundation frame for about 2 weeks sitting on bare wooden flooring and having obvious constructional issues. I am the only one sleeping on it. Mattress is marketed as being cooling with embedded charcoal, copper, cooling foam layer, etc. I am still sweating at night with a window cracked open in the winter. I do not recommend individual pocketed coils and foam anything. I do not recommend thick, lumpy tufting on mattress tops because of compacting tufts and over heating. I miss the cotton and brocade flat tufted mattresses with spring box springs of the 1980's And from the multitudes of reviews I have read researching a decent mattress to buy, people are saying pretty much the same things. Foam retains heat, so it blows my mind how this makes for a comfortable sleep. It also compacts over time before the mattress's end of life. How's that supposed to provide a good, comfy night's sleep? I hate platform beds and sleeping on just a mattress (sans foundation/box spring). They don't last and no matter how many times they are rotated or flipped, their problems just progress. Also, from experience, pay attention to how the mattress was stored in warehouse and how it was transported. I had mine stacked on the back of a pickup truck with other mattresses when it was delivered. It had weight on it leaning on the side of the pickup truck bed. That may have caused it to have the above described problems. It ought to have been transported flat, not at a diagonal with lots of weight on it. So, now, I have to take pictures and email proof on these problems and attached mattress tags in hopes the manufacturer will approve the seller to allow an exchange. And all I want is a full, good night's sleep from now on.

i have a ahsley 12 inch hybird , what frame do you suggest so i dont ruin my bed , i have the zizin platform frame , i can tell the slats are to far apart , my back n hips are kiling me help please lol

Im sticking to my steal box frame with wheel that other frames dont hold up like the steal ones i like to move my bed so i vacuum under it cause if you dont the dust get thick especially if you have carpet now you have allergies 🤧 😅i tried tge frames wood box omg i knew when i saw my steal fram go down the street i knew ill regret it sure nough i did 😂😂😂

to be honest i think its the bed and the frame , i just ordered the off of amazon . the bed was suppose to be firm , it is not , i can feel the coils when i sleep.. and i rea up on the slats for the foundation the zizin slates are like 5inches apart.so i dont know what to do , also i am 350 pounds and 5 ft 10inch, any help would be deeply appreciated

Hate those wheels on frames. Slept in a hotel once in Thailand and the bed kept moving!!
