Conga exercise: Changuito Lick 

During my four years studying with conga maestro Giovanni Hidalgo, he not only taught me some of his own key phrases and exercises, but also those of Cuban master percussionist José Luis "Changuito" Quintana (who I went on to study with at his home in Havana for a month a couple years after college).
Here is a fragment of one of Changuito's signature licks incorporated into some basic timekeeping... I throw in the entire original lick towards the end of the video (0:41), where you see me play the phrase extension across all three drums.
