Guys, this is not an instructional video, this is a documentation recorded by a student at the end of his private class, after I had VERY WELL AND SLOWLY "DISSECTED" this rhythm for him. If I do a video demonstrating a rhythm for first time viewers, I will break it down very slowly, however that's exactly what I do at 0.24 of the video. Also: this is not a beginners pattern. Have fun!
I have three congas and had them for a while. Due to my traveling for work I have become rusty as hell. Thanks for all of your help and I will be learning from you and get to form.
the drumming Tangent ; Lets appreciate Mr. Edgardo Camdon for sharing this rhythm. What I did Mr. Drum Tangent, I played it back, at least twenty times. Each time, I would look at the hand pattern, one part at a time and listen to how it sound. Once you get the total movements, then listen to make sure that you sound correct. Played it over and over, until you burn it in your brain. Every time I pick up my conga, I try to remember the rhythm. Some times it'll take me weeks. That's my approach Mr. Drumming Tangent. I know you didn't ask for my approach, but I thought I'd share it . Happy Drumming!
Would have been much easier if you sped the rhythm up gradually so everyone could keep up! It's quite an advanced rhythm so I expect there will be many who will struggle to get this.
