1st of all I’d like to thank MB for acknowledging the hard work I’ve put in & accomplishing my goal of a No Wall 160DB at 46 Hz, real recognize real, preciate you bruh, it’s taken me 4 years & I did it with 6 Skar Audio VXF-15 D4’s on 6 Skar Audio SKv2-4500.1’s sealed & gain matched at 1 ohm in an enclosure that I designed & built myself, it’s tuned to 38 Hz, it’s a daily musical demo build that can do 157’s sealed at 35 Hz as well, a sub is only as good as the enclosure it’s in, fact not fiction, thank you also to everyone else that’s congratulated me, you can do anything that you set your mind to, stay focused & stay motivated, don’t compete with others, stay in competition with yourself & you Will always win, set goals, conquer them, set more to keep going & growing! An SPL meter reads the Sound Pressure Level of a setup not the SBL Sound Brand Level, it’s your time, your ride & your money so do what you want Bass Is Bass!

Any time you show up with what is considered 'inferior' and you blow them away then you will bring nothing but hate. That is with everything in life. Trust me, same shit happens in the home audio scene, computer scene, wedding scene (I am a wedding photographer/videographer and don't use the most expensive gear to get the job done).... William Gay is a real humble dude. No matter what he does, good or bad, people hate on him. Nothing he can ever do will be good enough for people if he's running Skar. Facts! Not only did he do 160 @46 hz, but he did it in a NO wall. Not a 4th or 6th order that consumes 70% of the vehicle, leaving nothing but a small cockpit for the pressure. Congrats to Him! Dont take it personal he didnt wanna be on to talk about it. I feel like both of you are similar in the sense that, yall just are who you are, run what you wanna run, do what ya wanna do, say what ya wanna say (and if you say it, you'll double down and say it again even louder) and theres a lot of people (especially on social media) that hate on it. Probably cuz they could never do it! They have to run with the packs, and try to appeal to the masses... like fools. For a while I watched Carlos experiment with the different subs, and enjoyed watching them live. Now I just watch the re-run without comments. The bashings Ive seen of Skar, Will, Yourself, just doesnt sit well with me. I guess because I dont talk behind peoples backs, and I dont like bullies.. and I feel like a lot in the "mainstream social media" scene do both. Just doesnt give it a good look. Anyway.. Will is a good friend. Most people don't understand that his knowledge of system dynamics is the main difference. He's a bass scientist/professional/professor who's always in the lab experimenting and looking for solutions to various problems. When an experiment fails professors and such go back over their process and/or formula to figure out what's missing. Salute to you M.B., for posting this video and sharing your thoughts. ✊🏿

Doing a 155 DB and this was 5 years ago!!! He still has this set in his car but he has gotten out the bass game.Just because people don’t like something don’t let what they don’t like control you.One of the realest statements MBE has said is a sub out of the box can’t get loud.We live in a day and age where we give to much respect to the sub and not enough respect to the Box builder.I would rather have a great box rather than a great sub.
Congratulations brother will aka king of Skar.i love running skars and I get the sound I want from them and that's all that matters to me.bass is bass no matter what subs you have.and the only people that hate on will are the people that spend 50k and up on sundown and all these other brands and can't hit a 60 to save their life with a no wall that's why they mad.if they spent the same time and energy working on their builds as they do hating on master will and other people they would be able to get better numbers out of their own systems.
For the 2023 GS3 Championship I had to go up against a dude that had 4 Sundown Audio ZV5-15’s on 4 Sundown Audio Salt 8k’s, we both had to do the run with all doors & windows closed(sealed) with the Termlab mic on the windshield, he hit 153.4DB, I had 4 Skar Audio ZVX-15v2’s on 4 Skar Audio SKv2-4500.1’s & I hit 156.9DB, I won the belt, people are trying to say that it wasn’t fair, it was totally fair, he ran what he had & I ran what I had, I just won by 3.5DB
I don't care for skar either. But I would never bash another man's setup or impressive score like that 160 is a major feat and to do it with skar you definitely deserve credit! I've watched Will get bashed from the very beginning of skar he has ran it since day one!
I know that feeling, I remember back in 1998 at Spring Break Nationals I was running cheap Bumper speakers a did a 155.1 db and people was saying they must of been other subs with Bumper dust cap because no way Bumpers can play that loud. Naw it’s because I’m a box builder 😂😅😂😅
i run DD Audio, i am happy with what i run. i have made some memes about other brands but all in good fun and a laugh. i am a basshead, not a brandhead. i do not understand people who genuinely hate on others based on brands. congrats to William Gay!
I've seen a few interviews where guys at these shows say far more people are into demos than competing. Maybe people are more afraid of losing. If they don't like Williams scores then they should get out there and compete. I think it would be awesome if more people would get back to competing.
if you hate skar and got the high dollar subs and amps and everything else in your vehicle and can’t do what WILL done get rid of that shit or keep your mouth shut it’s just that simple
