Seen here running light engine on the now closed 7.25 inch gauge Coniston Miniature Railway, is "John Hext" a Co-Co battery electric locomotive built by Jack Newbutt in 1973.
This was the last time a locomotive ventured up the line at Coniston, departing from Holywath to run on the lower section one final time.
The miniature railway was put up for auction the following day, and items sold to various owners around the UK, the country losing a very unique and memorable miniature railway.
