This video was fantastic ! I have often wanted to visit the cemetery where J.P. Morgan is interred south of Hartford, CT. I had no idea there were so many really historic cemeteries in Connecticut. Thank you Mark Pernerewski (did I spell that right?) for your dedication. I enjoyed every minute. I plan to investigate those here in Virginia. Nancy McCarthy
My husband and I visit alot of small country cemeteries, to learn about the history here in Wisconsin. The oldest stone I've found (that was still legible)here was a woman born in 1748. Of course, the ones out east are much older, and I'd love to visit some of those locations!
I love that you dedicated this to Mick Aston. He was a great man. Phil Harding too! I'm a huge fan of Time Team myself! As someone who loves old cemeteries, I found this fascinating.

Very good points of education regarding graveyards. Also check out the Union Cemetery in Stratford, CT. Stratford is old, founded in 1639. My Dad seeded this idea in me as a child as we went from graveyard to graveyard looking for ancestors. Our family is in the Union Cemetery, the Protestant Cemetery of North Creek NY and one at Burlington Flats, NY and almost forgot Mount Hope Cemetery in Norwich, NY. Everyone has an interesting trail of their ancestors final resting place. Start checking on yours. It great fun and so interesting. Happy hunting and use Find-a-Grave, very helpful!
Also FYI, the Holy Cross catholic cemetery in Brooklyn NY has a full time staff and excellent records. My Mom’s little brother Woodrow Tolmie is buried there. He was about 7 or 8 and died on Thanksgiving Day killed by a hit and run driver. A sad story but the stories are out there so keep looking graveyard sleuths!
The first time I traveled in New England, I was struck by the number of graveyards. Should not have been surprised, since people have been living there so long.
