I used to live in Connecticut from 2010-2019 before moving down here to Florida August of 2019, but when I was living in Connecticut I can say Bridgeport was a bit crazy. I didn't live in Bridgeport but I was hearing about it. I used to live in Hartford then Storrs and Bridgeport is where I always tried to avoid.
From fair side in New Haven. Grew up there and still live in New Haven. Bridgeport gang violence doesn't compare one bit to New Haven or Hartford. New Haven ranked #1 several years in a row for highest overall violent crime while Hartford has consistently been ranked as the murder capital of CT. Seems like New Haven has a ton more shooters than Hartford but in Hartford they shoot to kill. Not sure why people from Bridgeport act so hard when it's a warzone out here. Nonetheless, stay safe out there and speaking from experience; the street life isn't worth it. Once you get in it's hard to make it out but most people aren't ready for that conversation

True CT soft af Homicide Hartford have nice grass, low crime rate, nice community Albany Ave is I recommend for vacation spot and frog hollow section of Hartford have 5 stars hotels. Willow St in Waterbury have mega mansions.
Sorry but Bridgeport not worse than NYC. Hartford CT the most dangerous place in CT and the One of the most dangerous in the USA. And New Haven CT dangerous af too. Do your research, Hartford is worse than Compton which is crazy for a small city in CT.
