Love my two mioXL's.

The documentation of combining two mioXL is very poor. I just want to use two mioXL together with Logic Pro in order to be able to connect more Hardware synths to my MacPro.

I think I will have to add this to our video to-do list. I've had a few people wanting multiple mioX series interfaces connected to a DAW in a studio. Maybe it'll be the next video. Thanks.

@@iConnectivitySupport Hi, is it possible to directly connect 1 input from an mio xl to 1 output on another mio xl using ethernet without passing thru a computer routing ?
@iConnectivitySupport
@iConnectivitySupport Год назад
@@philippedebersuder9100 yes. I'm assuming you mean with the DIN MIDI ports?

When I connect one mioXL from the USB DAW to the second mioXL USB HOST port (which is connected directly to the Mac) should I see the first mioXL in Auracle X software?
@iConnectivitySupport
@iConnectivitySupport 2 года назад
No. You will not see the second mioXL but can communicate through it but selecting the HST ports on the first mioXL that you reserved the ports into.

Hey. I guess I could do this with the Audio4c and the mioXM too right?
@iConnectivitySupport
@iConnectivitySupport 9 месяцев назад
Bascially any 2 iConnectivity interfaces could do this. As long as you have USB DAW/Device port connecting to a USB-A host port. AUDIO4c and mioXM could do this. It only move MIDI data.

Thanks for this. Is the process the same for connecting two Audio 4+ units? Is this possible?
@iConnectivitySupport
@iConnectivitySupport Год назад
The process is the same but remember that it's ONLY MIDI data because the USB-A MIDI host port only accepts MIDI data.

@@iConnectivitySupport Perfect thanks. I'm currently running an Audio 4+ and a mioXL - love them both together. The mioXL has all the midi connections for my older hardware - mcp2500, emu xl7, emu mp7, moog sub 37, and some random stuff - it's amazing. Networked RTP-Midi is crazy good and for multiple computers too. Just picked up another Audio 4+ to add some additional stereo line-ins. Love the iConnectivity stuff. So easy, so good. Thanks again for these videos, super helpful.

What is the best way to connect mioXL and MIO 4 to add midi ports in my config?
@iConnectivitySupport
@iConnectivitySupport Год назад
depends on if your setup includes a computer and the distance. - Connect the mio4 to the computer with USB and the mioXL over ethernet. This gives the most port options to the computer. - Connect the mio4 to the host port of the mioXL to get the most connections directly between the 2 interfaces.

There is NO way to get audio out of a MIDI4+ routed INTO a Audio4+ without a computer?

i'm trying to find a way to play audio out of my iPad connected to a midi4+ without having my computer plugged in to both the MIDI and AUDIO4+ ?
@iConnectivitySupport
@iConnectivitySupport 2 года назад
@@isaacanthonydj4124 the MIDI4+ doesn't have any physical output jacks and there is not option to pass audio between the 2 interfaces. You can use the AUDIO4+ connected to an iPad and get the audio out.

@@iConnectivitySupport thank you, this was helpful and saved me quite a bit of time. It's a shame that there is no way to route the USB audio from one device such as the MIDI4+ to another iconnectivity advice as that would be super useful.
