Hi Shane, is the procedure similar if not identical with using the PowerFlex 753/755 drives? Of course, you would use the P_PF75x AOI in your program and simply use the VSD/VFD global object in FT View studio. Thanks!
Hello, Shane. I'm learning very well with your videos. I would like to know if its possible you explain how to use the PlantPAx Process Library v4.1 Thanks
Rockwell Automation Library of Process Objects: PowerFlex 523/525 Variable Frequency Drives (P_PF52x) Version 3.5 detailed PDF reference manual for this AddOn but the newest version is Revision 4.10.06 Release 2023-02-06 I can't find updated manual anywhere....
First off, thank you for the support. I appreciate it & hope you are having a great day. To answer your question: They are passed from the parameters of the button that commands the pop-up. I talk about this in the video. Looks like you may have missed it or maybe clicked off the video before it completed. I understand what it is like watching videos. With that said, please make sure you watch my videos in the full length because I try to make sure every detail is covered. Granted, over the past few years, my videos have gotten better. Here is the place to start watching in this actual video where I talk about this. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rHku7LwA48c.html

@@robertcanary7155 I actually think the full video for that was deleted because of dislikes...sad but it happens. Although, it is just as easy as navigating to your instruction bar & selecting the Add-On instruction then making a ladder routine. Then adding the add-on instruction in the rung. From that point, it is exactly the same as the function block except you don't see as much as the function block from my opinion. I show some of this in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rHku7LwA48c.html
Can you control a Vertical Lifter using a P525 with encoder feedback and encoder for positioning? I have done this and typical is all ladder. Using an AOI how can I maniuplate the stoping position?
For one, the powerflex 525 is not the model to be used for direct encoder feedback to be used an an servo axis, to do that you need a powerflex 527. Next, the question about an AOI is an open loop question... please clarify
@@ShaneWelcher P525 has an ecoder card option, mostly for motor encoder feedback, universal. I had used an ethernet encoder for positioning in Y axis not really a closed loop like P755 PTP mode but it works. However using an AOI how can I command the drive to stop in a desired position? Lets say my Y encoder goes from 100 to 1000 counts, if I tell the P525 to go to position 500 using the encoder read how can I stop it?
