The New York Times is back with another new daily word game, Connections! This is heavily inspired by "The Wall" from the BBC quiz show Only Connect. You must sort the sixteen given words into thematically appropriate groups of four--and you only have a few opportunities for error! I don't know if I'll be solving this every day but I'm giving it a shot for now at least. We'll see how it goes. Let me know how you like it!

Merriam Webster says rapid is usually used in the plural. My thoughts exactly and why I missed it here.

"Sanitze" is a very specific word? "Tizzy" can be only one thing. I started there and worked outward...

Sometimes you can know too much. The water in waves is actually going round in circles and at nothing like the speed of the wave. "Rapids" is originally an American word, familiar in the UK but pretty well always the plural. Excuses, excuses... I did think the water category would say "without the S' since its often in the plural, eg rapids, currents, cascades.
