It's yet another new daily word game from the New York Times! This time we've got to find a collection of thematically-related words, plus their "spangram" that describes the theme. I don't know if I'll be solving this every day but I'm giving it a shot for now at least. We'll see how it goes. Let me know how you like it!

When looking for the spangram I completely dismissed network because when I think of "network tv" I think of over the air networks like ABC, CBS, NBC, etc. But these are "networks" of programming (Paramount, Discovery and Hallmark are parent networks, History and Lifetime are subsidiaries of Disney)

We had UPN back in the late 90s. Buffy the Vampire Slayer moved from the WB to UPN for the last few seasons.

I usually work the corners first if nothing else jumps out at me first. I found DISCOVERY and HISTORY right away.

The spanagram is network yet none of the words are network TV stations it should have been basic cable or something like that

cable tv channels are also called "cable networks". Over the air channels are "broadcast networks". "network" mainly distinguishes national or regional programming from local programming.
