so inspirational to see conor following his dreams. to think, in another universe, there's a potential ufc champion fixing someone toilet. really hope he does well, love this guy
This man is no Muhammad Ali, more like a irish gypsies, Ali came through hard times, the greatest boxer of all time, all 15 round fights, travelled the word fighting, Ali even fought in croke park, defended his title many times , a heavyweight champion of the world, , great man, a poet, Ali got up every morning at 6am and started jogging, all 16 stone of the great man, by the way I am a irish man .
proof that we must always believe in ourselves no matter what anyone else thinks., proof you can achieve what you set out to do in life.. great words and spirit from this guy.
I think a lot of you are confused about this comparison. This happens often when media compares up and coming athletes to legends. It is my interpretation that they are merely comparing the success at the start of their careers and obviously the absolute confidence in which they speak. I doubt they meant every little detail. Even fighters that don't like Conor often say that he believes in what he says. I think Mr. Clay felt the same way!
A torn ACL is no joke. hopefully he gets the proper medical treatment and doesnt rush back into the gym too early. Aldo vs McGregor hopefully in 2 yrs or so
he deserves to be a champion/superstar all of that hardwork he put in and im one of his biggest fans i hope he does well in life because that would make not just him but also me happy too ...he really is amazing...and yes he was compared to ali totally deserves to be where he is now 💕💛💙💚💝💔💖
i Love this Young Fella. hes a class act. ive seen him fight, amazing athlete. hes the reason my son has taken up the sport. Hes such a talent and he's an honest open Irishman. keep her rocking Conor. you have made us very proud to be Irish
yes, he was amazing but I think he still needs like 2 or 3 more fights....still....he already looks like a champ with that attitude and his fighting background
I don't think they are saying he is already the Muhammad Ali talent wise. But they are comparing the way he talks, the way he belives in himself and the way he delivers himself is similar to Ali. If you were to watch the whole video then it is not hard to work out.
It's not just his fighting, it's his attitude. Yes he's a great fighter, but he's confident, he's not cocky, he knows what he wants and he believes in himself even when other people don't. If he comes crashing down he's the kinda guy that will pull himself back up and he wont lose support because people know he wont give up, people know he'll come back fighting. The best fighters, footballers athletes in general..have ALL had rough patches, it makes them stronger and more dedicated.
i've been watching every ufc event since ufc 58 and never was i this excited for a new guy to step into the octagon. mcgregor is such an amazing dude.. i really hope he will have a long and successful career in the ufc.
hell yah.. This guy is a class act and I love his style karate plus boxing great mix... when I first watched him he said to dana 60 G'S BABY!!!after his fight.. I died when he said that lol..
He needs to get passed max holloway first... Max is definitely going to be a hard opponent , but I think if Connor can keep the pressure on him I think he could take it.
watch his interviews on the MMAhour with ariel helwani...not humble, just a great agent/publicist behind the scenes looking out for his well being....champ at 145 soon enough, screw Aldo!
You don't have all the facts mate..go check out his other fights and see how he's destroyed top fighters, yes one fight in the UFC but even Dana was impressed by his performance and he has what it takes to be a champion and that's what people are talking about.
Ali made a career, defended causes and get his fighter licence removed from him just because he was making a point that Vietnamese didnt deserve that aggression... CMG is just a fighter a good one thau but he has not face big names yet...
...why? Because he beat Marcus Brimage??? Wait until he goes up against somebody who doesn't suck, he won't look unbeatable. This guy has one fight in the UFC, don't urijah hall the guy and declare him the P4P best before he even beats somebody notable.
