Nothing can beat hardwork... Unless you're 6'8", 250lbs and can dunk on everybody. Love this message, but let's be real, some people are born with physical advantages. Whether it be your body or your brain, take advantage of that situation
@daerenlalad5656
@daerenlalad5656 3 года назад
Hooray that somebody said this. If you have chronic fatigue syndrome you are not going to be the next MMA champion. But there are worthwhile things you can do with your life nonetheless, which will make you and others proud and you will be remembered fondly.
@mattstryker2886
@mattstryker2886 2 года назад
Yeah but if you get a lazy guy who’s 6’8 and 250lbs and a guy whos 5’7 and 155lbs that works hard, I’m betting on the guy who’s 5’7 but yes some people are born with an adamant age and with hard work they can do things normal people cannot
@x9147
@x9147 2 года назад
even the biggest head start gives you no advantage if you try to walk it to the finish line while the others are sprinting for their life. While other kids were at home watching TV, LeBron was out playing basketball. While other kids were studying for tests, LeBron was out playing basketball. While other kids were partying and drinking, LeBron was out playing basketball. You have to be obsessed to reach the top.

No the point was that you look at connor and you wouldn't say that,would you ever imagine a skinny bloke working construction in the middle of nowhere will ever get to the level of being an UFC Champion? He started training in his early 20s too while khabib and other light weights have been training some sort of mixed martial arts/wrestling since they were little kids and i mean for fk's sake the people who come to UFC have already excelled in the international level in other sports and some even have olympic medals. It doesn't take a genius to say in front of his face that dropping his plumber job to becoming an UFC Champion was an impossible dream,he overcame an obstacle which is impossible to even fathom about. He wasn't gifted with what 90% of the UFC fighters have,he came to the ring with just pure hardwork and dedication which is highly respectable.

+upgrader99 through hard work and steroids lets be real here.steaks dont make you gain 25 pounds in less than 3 months and have no fat on you steroids do and for every gullable idiot saying hes not on steroids here is some medical science for you .the most genetically gifted athlete can only put on 2.2 pounds naturally because a compound in the body called cortisol wont let you gain muscle any faster .So tell me this how has conor gained all muscle in 3 months and 25 pounds and looks shredded .sorry but whatever answer your gonna say your wrong medical sciene proves that your wrong and conor is on steroids .
@Kanthide
@Kanthide 8 лет назад
+Blake Garvey 1.) He's not shredded right now he's built. Have you seen a lean shredded person before? 2.) You really can't generalize how much weight a human can put on because everybody's body is different. Some people gain weight faster than other people and some people lose weight faster. If medical science was accurate doctors would be fit. Medicine is a money making industry they'll tell you whatever so you can feel better about yourself just so they can keep making money.

It's funny how people go from cheering for a man when he wins the championship, to hating on him saying he is trash when he goes up a weight class and loses 1 fight. Some people are hypocrites man.

+Armed Society Agreed. By talking trash and not giving his opponents respect he's making himself look like a prick and degrading himself which is a real shame cause his fighting style is beautiful to watch. Hope this reality check does him some good and he finally starts behaving like a man, and not like a little bitch.
@c0mplete
@c0mplete 8 лет назад
I think a lot of the trashtalking is just PR for the fight though, aka to hype it up to get more viewers attention. Everyone gets attracted to drama and its just a way to make the audience think that they really are mad at each other and stuff like that. It's been used for hundreds of years. I don't think McGregor is that much of a prick.
@metrowestdude
@metrowestdude 8 лет назад
+Viktor Karlsson People are fickle morons. Like any guy can go undefeated in UFC while going up 25lbs past his division.
@ThaLedExpert
@ThaLedExpert 8 лет назад
+Viktor Karlsson Hey dude, dont talk about his weight class, when he was the one that was telling that he could fight in any weight class. I really never cheered for McGregor, and to tell you the truth, there are a few people that like McGregor's way of fighting and cheer for him authentically. Most people look up to him because of his confidence, style, trashtalking and quick domination in UFC. When you talk bad about others and you state unrealistic things, it's like you re gambling, so this time he lost the gamble, so you and the other Connor fans, as well as him, must accept the bad comments about him. Trashtalking carries a price. Sometime that would happen, he knew it as well, but you know, he doesnt care at all, because he got the millions in the end and will keep getting money.

I respect him more after watching this. I don't like how people are now ridiculing him because he lost a match. He is a fighter. Fighters lose every once in a while. We all get hyped by the idea of a fighter being invincible, and they feed the media that persona as it makes them money. But they know, and anyone involved in the sports knows: Anyone can lose on any given day. If you thought any win was impossible, you just bought into a fairytale.

His skill is second to none and the amazing thing is he never hides he's had so many opponents pull out against him yet he just keeps going and never has any time of. Its only been a few months since his last fight and other champions would have a year of before they step in the octagon again but hes back fighting in a few short months.

Finally, I had to scroll so long to find a respectful comment. I know so much about Conor Mcgregors work ethic and it mind boggles me. The man is a champion because how he works. Genetics have nothing to do with it. MMA is a sport where genetics play no role in your accomplishments but only on how hard you work. And he's the greatest featherweight alive because of how hard he works.

But according to interviews with Messi and players that used to play with him he has always been dedicated and focused.

McGregor is wrong anyhow, champions have top genetics as well. You can work as hard as you want, with the wrong genetics you will never be best in the world. You might become best from not so-good genetics, but from bad genetics? No way. Prime example would be dwarves and basketball, but people don't acknowledge that are way less obvious genetic traits that would lead to the same conclusion. That being said, success in general follows the hard work-rule he mentioned, but you can't be the best at whatever you choose.

+Justin F. Even if it is true, you have to account for the fact that McGregor is a freak of a man, having a 72 inch reach while standing only at 5'9". This allows him to stay at lighter weight divisions while having an extremely superior striking advantage over the division, as evidenced by his "notorious" left hand. That's something that is clearly due to genetics and can't be obtained through "hard work"

+maroonedsia going to sound like a new age californian, but it's what he said is true through reincarnation. If someone had the burning desire to be an NBA champion and trained all their life, even if they didn't have the body type, they would be born in their next life with a body more adequate to be an athlete. Some goals take many lifetimes to achieve. Like a Mozart or an Einstein, they developed those skills over many lives and then were born with the right disposition and the right environment to fulfill that desire of expressing those talents and achieving those goals.

+detectiveMM yeah you can just tell by all the ignorant idiots that are great at sports out there that they've been doing it for life times... lmfao. tons of great athletes have talked about how their sports just came natural to them and they don't even have a big passion for it lots of times. jon jones is an example of someone just born with great gifts. someone who doesn't respect his body or the sport, and hasn't done anything for it. he was simply born gifted. he doesn't train consistently and hasn't trained as many years or as hard as much of the fighters out there who are much worse than him. guys like mike tyson and the spinks family, etc... throughout lots of their careers were on lots of drugs and booze. half assing it. there are countless times where teammates and even the athletes themselves have talked about how they would party all week and not practice, or barely ever practice... then just show up on game day and dominate. this has happened tons of times in football. your theory is not even close to being anywhere near the truth.
