It's kinda scary how quick of a leap AI speech technology came in a matter of a few years. Scary, yet exciting. Considering how much of a hurdle voice acting is for creating massive new content for these games...we are going to only see new DLC/expansion sized mods both in size and frequency.

Not even a year ago, there was still a huge demand for VAs for mods like beyond skyrim. Now most of the small dialogue can be replaced by AI, leaving only important roles for the VAs. It's a double edged sword.

@@bidoof22 The only problem right now is that AI can't create a new voice. It takes in the info it has and mimics it. You still need new actors for new voices. You can also see that the emotion in the voice becomes lesser the less lines you have voiced by the actor. In general it is quite a lot more monotone.

I was thinking the same thing, but weirdly in the future i could see this technology generating quite bit of controversy with the voice actors who originally spoke those lines, some of them might get salty and sue or something, say that they're losing out on money. That might only happen if it was something big scale though i guess

The amount of work and investment in this latest version is laudable, I've been following this mod since it's infancy and I'm proud to see how much it has evolved, I'm working on some side projects for other games right now but seeing how conquest of skyrim has progressed made my day and inspired me to work even harder on my mods, thank you so much for the inspiration Galvatron530! may your harvests be plentiful!

Amazing update I have no complaints about this mod whatsoever it's amazing it's in 0.3 version and theres a load of content, it's balanced, lore-friendly and most of all you are your own boss not some Imperial general or Racist Nord's lackey. Look, I love tactical/strategy-type games like Arma, Empire at War, and Mount and Blade. If you want a full-fledged patch for Improved Follower Dialogue - Lydia, just say the word. If I can, I'd throw in a bunch of additional interactions with Lydia to boot.

Wow. When I first saw your mod nearly a year ago. I thought "That looks like it has some potential, but it's probably going to die in a month, too ambitious". Well, I'm glad I was wrong. You have far beyond exceeded my expectations, well done! I've always wanted a mod like this. Always hated bethesda's stupid civil war questlines, as both sides have ample reason to fight for. The Dragonborn is a Shezzarine, practically a god, he can stop the end of the world but couldn't change the course of a civil war, I hated that in Bethesda's writing (lack of). Thank you.

Great work Galvatron! I'm happy to support you! Just wish ElevenLabs weren't so freaking expensive! lol. But we appreciate you putting that money towards the mod, that was very noble of you. And wow! Love the formation, and the drums! And yes the AI voices are so much better! I'm happy that we can launch attacks through our Second as well. I love the option to do it from the map as well, but if my second is around immediately, my first instinct is to want to order them to do it lol. As for the POW's that is definitely a good improvement. More choice is always better. Also having our armies split into a squad of 4 in interiors is genius, so can we finally have our own royal entourage. Oh thank goodness, I know we discussed this a while back about the bounties and to see you actually fixed that bounty problem from Vanilla! Very nice, very nice my friend. I mean if we ARE the LAW, then what exactly are WE breaking haha! Good job! Anyway, that's really all I got for now. Thanks for sharing that preview with us! Now I have a request for In the future, I do hope that we could maybe receive say a war horn, to summon our main gov officials to us, and our local courts of each hold as well, and commanders. Because I have to fast travel so often for each one lol. Oh and quick question, do you have a set release date yet for 0.9 or is it still up in the air? And is there a way to extract all the npc dialogue for say government, I'd like to do it all for my follower mods to make them compatible? Thanks.

Thank you for your feedback Simdrew! So far the release date is just within a few days. I still want to test some things before I release it and I'd rather not rush it with a set-in-stone release date. For the dialogue that gave me an idea to make another channel in the discord server with the csv files I used to generate the dialogue with ElevenLabs. They have all the lines as well as the required names of the voice files for each line. Should make custom dialogue generation easier.

Even being WIP, this is some of the most fun I’ve had in Skyrim. Fits a Dragonborn playthrough very well too, Paarthanax mentions the Dov having a strong desire to dominate, including the Dragonborn. Conquest is a way that could manifest with an ambitious enough Dragonborn leaning into this tendency. Amazing to see where AI is going too, while a ways off from professional voice acting, it is still better than a lot of amateur voice acting in mods and the technology is definitely already powerful enough for modding. It might actually be possible to flesh out Skyrim NPC dialogue and relationships to the level of Morrowind, but 100% voiced. The way Morrowind had your deeds, factional alignment and character race heavily influence your experience gave so much replay value and actually made me want to deviate from the build I always used in Skyrim.

I wonder if you’ve already given it some thought.. some of us play Elder Kings (Crusader Kings Elder Scrolls Conversion Mod) and the Rigmor of Bruma sequel. It would be cool to make a Conquest of Cyrodiil where the Dragonborn’s end goal is to take the Ruby Throne and reclaim his birthright. Perhaps a requirement can be the Dragonborn must already be in possession of the Amulet of Kings. He/she can’t just go to a smith and craft it. It would have to be lore friendly. Certain materials for instance, may only be found in the Summerset Isles. While we can’t exactly go there, the Dominion’s forces are scattered all across Tamriel, so certain top leaders would be in possession of key material you’d need for reforging the Amulet. The Dragonborn can use diplomacy or military force to obtain these, in any case it could plant the seeds of a war between the Dragonborn and the Dominion.

This mod looks amazing! I can't wait to play around with it! You've basically just made my childhood dream mod into reality. If you're open to suggestions - I think adding a character-based trait system would make the mod more fun and interesting. Characters could be randomly assigned traits that will provide unique bonuses and problems depending on how you promote them. Assigning a character with a 'cruel' trait to be a Jarl means that more criminals are punished, or assigning them to be a commander means you'll capture more PoWs. Maybe a character with a 'Daedra-Worshipper' trait will let you sacrifice troops in their army in return for daedric troops. I think a system like that would add some really fun depth and customization to what you already have. If that's not the direction you want to go for in your mod though, that's totally understandable! What you've already done is wonderful! Keep up the great work!

@@SaeedG1999 it's a little rocky canon wise but start with Rigmor Of Bruma 1, Conquest of Skyrim 2,Beyond Skyrim Bruma 3,Rigmor of Cyrodiil 4. In that order.Its creates a world where you can be the dragonborn,become highking,and have a reason to go to Cyrodiil. Only issue is the Rigmor mod does not recognize you as highking so maybe pretend you resigned by the 3rd or 4th mod,because at the end of that,your the emperor.

This mod is awesome. I downloaded it a week ago and have had so much fun! There’s still some bugs like in the rift when you order an attack on the stormcloak camp nothing spawns to attack and your commanders just individually show up and search for the enemy. Other than that, this mod is really fun.

It's way more in depth, from what I've seen. It basically overhauls the entire Civil War, letting you build up your own faction from scratch to then enter and win the Civil War. I don't think Become High King has any Civil War mechanics, you basically need to just get a bunch of gold and supporters and then you become High King. Not to mention the fact that this mod is adding its own unique dialogue

This is a fine mod. What I couldn't really get past in Skyrim is that I was playing on almost the max difficulty because there were so few mobs. I would want to play this mod if there were bandit mobs or random waves of drauger, you know, so it's a clash of army vs. army. Having a big army would just make the base game really easy. Still, I'm glad mods like this exist. If I ever get back into Skyrim, this will be easily be one of the first ones I try.

The voice acting is amazing!!! WoW though, It feels disconnected from the NPCs would be talking, It feels like everybody is talking just in front of you, I Guess I m talking about 3d sound, which probabbly isnt easy to implement, just giving ideas! Also, I just realised that the arms of everybody in Skyrim look super tense and rigid, It feels like if everybody would have irritated arm pits, could some amazing modder do something about It? :))
