OK ya'll are crazy for doing it all barefoot! 😂 Although, the only time I ever hiked barefoot was actually in Kauai ... the trails there got so muddy with the rain it was actually easier than getting stuck in the mud with your shoes on. Those rocks on this trail looked painful though. Thanks for showing us this trail - have got to take a trip to Maui soon!
@@BKRVlogs It's probably our all time favorite spot for hiking (may be biased since we got engaged on the Awa'awapuhi) but the Sleeping Giant hike in particular was one of the muddiest I've ever seen! Still worth it though!
Blake, it is son wonderful that you are still in awe and wonder over the beauty in Hawaii! Some people might think if yoiu live there, you might lack appreciation over time. However, it is sooooooo beautiful in Hawaii, you always can find something new. Plus, the sunsets are always different; also very beautiful! I miss Hawai'i so much. I lived on Oahu, so I won't tell you all the places i lived :)
Our favorite hike on the island as well. We like taking friends and family there when they come to visit. On a clear day, that 360 view at the top is incredible. We’ve never done it barefoot though; always in hiking shoes. 😯
Another very cool video. This is a part of Maui I never saw. Probably never will both my wife and I have hip issues even though we are ‘only’ in our 50’s
OMG midway pause before the waterfall LOL I just stumbled across your channel. Sure enough, I forgot to subscribe. Thanks for the reminder. One of these best videos of MAUI.
Hi Blake! I can’t think of a better way to hike the trails in Maui! Barefoot! 🦶 Thanks for continuing to show us the beauty around you! I LOVE Hawaii and that’s why I continue to watch your videos as they come out! (And yes! I’m subscribed and have the bell notification turned on!) Your videos are, for me anyways, a link to all things Hawaii. That’s special right? Thank you for keeping my Hawaii dreams alive while sharing your aspirations, joys, and journey here on RU-vid! So I don’t know what happened to you GoPro review video but I had left a comment and you responded back asking what GoPro I have. I am holding out actually... in 2012 I bought a Hero 2 (I recorded my marathon on the Great Wall of China with it... and yes! I did that wearing Vibrum Five Fingers so barefoot! 🦶) Anyways! The Hero 2 has served me well. I recently bought another one just to parts share and have a backup... but yeah! I really would like to pick up a newer 4K capable GoPro. You were mentioning that the new GoPro leaks? I think that’s what you were saying!? I didn’t know that... but I guess I had better go into my next purchase with my eyes wide open! Thanks for the heads up and all this video inspiration Blake! I’m looking forward to your next video! 🤙
My favourite hike in Maui (out of the many we did) was the Makamakaole (13 crossings) stream trail just up the road from this one. It was much quieter and the vegetation was so pristine and untouched. You could swim at the end at the waterfall too 🤙🤙
Brotha! Gotta tell me how to get to this trail. I used to live in Wailuku on liholiho ... Never did much exploring when I was living on the islands unfortunately. Keep up the great videos! Aloha🤙
omg, how are 80% not following.... wut! as you were spouting of names of mountains, etc... it made me3 think of a question; most will not understand.... what are your favorite pupu's
@@BKRVlogs i love and miss poki/raw fish and hot mustard sauce, lomi lomi salmaon and seed (esp li hing mui!)! However, my husband just found some really good tuna that is frozen. I slowly thaw and eat! I got my daughter to love it too' along with sushi! I recently made a prune mui, lemon peel-ono
