Tadej attacked half a dozen times on the Spandelles and kept pressure on the descent as well, Jonas almost crashed a few corners before Tadej. When waiting on your opponent after a crash you know he's most likely not going to try to attack you again, and descending safely is always the best option when you're the race leader. Also waiting was the right thing to do from a tactical perspective. It gave WVA more time in the breakaway and allowed Kuss and Benoot to return. Anyways best TdF I've seen with a lot of sympathetic guys racing agressively, and with the best to come out as winner in the end. What else can you wish for..
@@xeyth Could have easily made pogi burn a match going 90% until he caught up. Without a chance of catching wout. Jonas reacted the moment he fell he wasn’t thinking anything other than sportsmanship, he was BY FAR the strongest rider from a w/kg perspective and everyone including pogi knew it
@@xeyth completely agree from a tactical perspective it was correct, but the manner of the immediate sit up and the interaction between the two of them afterwards to me indicated that he made that choice out of sportsmanship rather than tactical purposes
Am I the only one who thinks that the fans need to stay TF out of the roads?? Jesus...why did they insist on being in the riders faces while they ride by? smh
Twice vingegaard nearly crashed. V close. Both times on left handlers. V was more rested than pogacar starting tour. P started tour v strong, faded: overall fatigue? P said after race during winter he wd race less in 2023 focus more on tour. But we are in 2023 racing now, in feb: p has already peaked! And once again v is hiding out, building up slowly, focus slowly on july tour In fact v did not start tour 2022 peaked, was only 96% at race start, seeking to peak in week 3 of tour. P seems to be slightly better stage racer than v, but v is more focused, thus giving v slight edge to win tour 2023 Perhaps p in 2023 wins strade San remo liege worlds and lombardia, yet v wins our sports biggest prize. P sd peak only last week of tour, but won’t, for now only feb and p has already peaked
Nah I dont think so. If they use doping today it is in very small doses. If you take big mountain climbs Vingegaard are minutes behind the fastest times ever
