Gotta love an uncomplicated evil villain. He isn't like Nolan trying to justify his actions by uplifting humanity, or Thragg claiming he's preserving Viltrumite culture. This man just loves violence, even as he was being choked to death he was smiling.

The Viltrumite origin story is stupid. There is no sensible way that just a planet getting mad and fighting itself somehow gave them super powers. Omniman's evil superman story started out interesting but his redemption arc is, again, stupid. Supposedly having lived thousands of years, conquering untold races, and by that time should have sired an army, decides at the last second this son of seventeen years is worth betraying thousands of years of his previous life. That is very poorly thought out. And the kid's mother running back to him after he murdered thousands on TV puts her in the position of being amoral and frankly evil. Again, poorly written and thought out. Invincible is a YA Teen comic that tries to be adult with foul language and violence.

A lot of your questions will be answered in the future. They had powers prior to the viltrumite civil war, they have smart atoms which grant them superpowers. The reason Omniman slowly changed into a "good" person is due to the unique effect earth has on viltrumites.

So his face was crushed in, had all the skin on the front of his body burned off and was able to regenerate it all back to normal but he couldn’t regenerate his eye and eye scar???

I love Robert kirkman I think he makes great stuff but is it original I don't think so kryptonians mixed with dragon Ball z technically isn't original it is an incredible series I like it same thing with The walking Dead if there was no George Romero I guess Robert kirkman wouldn't have a great ideas but hey you know what The invincible animated cartoon is awesome I hope they make a live action I'm not a hater I just got to speak the facts Robert kirkman makes and writes great comics are they his original ideas of course not but he's made a good platform for himself that's all just go forward awesome channel keep up the great work much love from Nicaragua

I see your point but dragon ball z sayins dont own the archetype of warring alien tyrants Viltrumites are vastly different from sayains and kryptonians with only minor trope similarities that could be tracked back to before any of these races were even created in fiction everything borrows from something else. like the Gda can easily be paralleled to shield does the Gda being a agency like shield make the Gda unoriginal I don’t believe so but that’s just my opinion.

Not trying to be a know it all but as far as the hand thing...there's multiple interations of this technique. In one piece it's called finger gun, and I think that best sums it up. The idea is that you put a ton of force behind a singular point. This is why bullets cause so much damage. So if you in theory had a super powered human with the ability of throwing a fist as 700 mph he can theoretically have a finger punch that can simulate a bullet. It's in Naruto as well. The reanimated raikages technique.

If a viltrimite comes in contact with the scurge virus 🦠 it temporarily removes his powers or greatly weakeneds it so when the Ragnar's attacked conquest the viltrimite genes didn't heal over immediately
