In this third sequel to "Planet of the Apes," the apes turn the tables on the human Earth population when they lead a revolt against their cruel masters in the distant year of 1990. By doing this it creates the time loop that leads to the first film. in fact it is no longer the end of the world, Cornelius and Zira altered the timeline by going to the past and leaving Caesar there, Caesar takes the place of the gorilla Aldo, the ape who originally dominates the Earth, this changed the future, the last film of the saga ends in a future where apes and humans live together in harmony.

@@bronzer23 the original ending breck is beaten to death and no hope for mankind, but was changed to ceaser giving a speech we see here. both endings are on blu-ray.

@@figureofauthority i'd like to think the alternate endings lead to two timelines Theatrical ending: we lead into BattleFTPOTA and the timeline where soon Apes and humans live together in peace. Dark ending: Stable time loop and this is the beginning of the Original POTA timeline, Ceaser begins the changes and later on we get the ride of the Lawgiver Ape who solidifies Ape history and writes it to what Apes like Zaus adhere too

the original ending would make sense if this film was in the original timeline where the gorilla Aldo led the revolution, but as Zira and Cornelius went to the past and left Caesar there, he took Aldo's place and altered the timeline, in the last The film shows a future where apes and humans live in harmony

What an emotionally *charged* scene! The expressions of the actors were so perfect to convey their meanings and it all really created such an atmosphere of tension that you could actually *feel* ! I luved it. Masterfully done! 👏🖤

Andy Serkis remains in the shadow of Roddy MacDowall's final speech and richly expressive performance as Ceasar from Conquest and Battle. Thanks to Kingdom, more people are rediscovering the original 5 films, the TV series and the animated series when Planet of the Apes was at it's best and in it's prime. So happy about that 💯.

If Roddy McDowell was unavailable for the role of "Caesar", I STRONGLY FEEL that Bill Bixby would have been THE PERFECT FIT to portray "Caesar". I believe that Bill would have OWNED this scene in which Caesar calls for Revolution.
