Nice video. Great catch. I like freight trains especially cabooses. You only see cabooses nowadays just at the state borders for long hauls. Other places. They use cabooses once in a blue moon. Not too often. The deliveries they make are local runs. That's probably why

Where is most freight traffic routed today below Binghamton? Is it toward Sunbury and Enola rather than Allentown, PA or Suffern, NY and NJ? NS stopped the Allentown to Binghamton freight which used 45 miles of Reading and Northern and only has the local to Hazleton. I don't think the ex-Erie from Binghamton to Port Jervis is used much and the ex-LV south of Sayre, PA isn't really a through route anymore, RBMN owns the track south of Mehoopany and NS leases the Athens-Mehoopany segment to Lehigh Railway. In the Conrail era there was an Allentown, PA to Corning, NY freight which used the ex-LV from Pittston to Sayre, and into Waverly, NY where it then went on the ex-Erie Southern Tier.

It's nice to see the cars before they were defaced with that terrible graffiti.
