In New Zealand consent is taught as part of our health curriculum. It baffles me that an entire society could debate consent.

"We understand this with food but not with women's bodies" True point, I find that when/if a child get sexually assaulted everyone agrees that it's wrong no matter what. But a grown woman is sexually assaulted, the public is iffy.

Okay I really appreciate this video and it's so important but sexual assault is not just "on a woman's body". I'm a male and have had an incident of sexual assault, I appreciate the message you're giving and I would in no way support Trump, but just because he is speaking about the sexual assault of a woman, does not mean sexual assault is an exclusive thing.

As a British guy living in America, I don't even know what to say anymore, Seriously this election is baffling to me..... These two candidates should never be running for president. Also, the election cycle is way too long... 2 years is ridiculous, in the UK and many other countries its just 5 weeks. Edit: Also, I do not plan on living in America for the foreseeable future, seriously that's the effect this election has had on me, America isn't looking appealing anymore.

"Guys will be guys" Some boy told me to go in the kitchen and make him a sandwich bc I'm a women. "Guys will be guys" He sexually assaulted me. So, if you're a person that often says this, I think you should reavaluate some things.

It's really hard to provide any proof of sexual assault even when it does happen especially if its years after. I still remember as a child a friend's father used to touch me in inappropriate ways whenever my friend would go to the bathroom or turn her head for a moment. At the time, because I was young, I didn't know it was child molestation. All I knew was that it made me uncomfortable, I didn't like it, and it made me embarrassed to talk about it. I never did talk about it until years later because I simply didn't know what it was and I was embarrassed. Looking back I realized how wrong all of those things were, and to be completely honest I still find talking about the details very uncomfortable. However, now, 6 years later, I couldn't find a piece of evidence even if I wanted to. I can't bring "justice" if I wanted to. I think part of the reason woman don't talk about sexual assault right away when evidence is still fresh (if any) is because for one thing it doesn't always register as "assault" it registers as "that made me uncomfortable" and you really have to have a good understand of assault to call any experience by that term. Contributing to this is the "it'll never happen to me" mentality, which confuses a person when it does happen. In addition to this the topic is very uncomfortable to talk about and many people don't like being seen as victims. I can say "I was molested" because the word "molest" is disconnected from the events that actually happened. However if someone were to ask me to describe in detail what had happened, I'm not sure I would be comfortable enough to talk about it. Also, this topic just doesn't come up very often. Most of my close friends still don't know about that experience of mine simply because its hard to bring up and no one likes to hear about it. 1/4 women get assaulted in their life time. In a class room of 30 kids, if 15 of them were girls, 3-4 of them will or have experienced sexual assault. Even with that statistic, you still don't hear about it very often.

I've been in a lot of locker rooms as well and in those locker rooms, we did indeed talk about the women we were going to train with or saw while training. Especially after swimming, locker room talk can become explicit. However, at no point have I or any of my friends ever implied that we would sexually assault any of the women we were talking about. This is not normal locker room talk. Most men don't engage in this kind of locker roomt talk. Hashtag not all men. It is incredibly important for men to speak out against Trump. We can't let him speak for us. What he said is damaging to the image of men as a whole. Trump is a real danger for women but he's also a threat to the accountability of men.

I disagree with one thing. I think we should focus on the words "sexual assault." Because the words are accurate. We should be trying to make people understand that sexual assault is exactly what Trump was talking about. Thlse words are powerful, I agree. That's why we should be making it clear that sexual assault is exactly what we're talking about.

I cannot stress enough how important it is that we teach the youth in America today about consent. Honestly, I did not learn what the fundamentals of consent were until I accepted a job as a Resident Assistant in college and was in training. I was 20 years old and this was stuff I had never learned about. We can't have our citizens only learn this at 20 years old, or have a situation where some never learn it.

As a man, can confirm the excuse "it was just locker room banter" is invalid. If anything that makes it worse because you show your true colors when nobody is around and you don't think anyone will ever hear what you are saying. The video didn't show how he "used to be" it is confirming what we previously thought about him. It would be different if he was a teen and said something stupid, we've all been there, but he was a 50-60 year old man saying this. It's only when he is on camera that he is on his best behavior acting like his past is forgotten

I find it very disturbing that over 6.5k people have disliked this video. This is so obvious that it's a bit ridicules to have to say it, but apparently there are loads of people who doesn't understand consent or sexual assault. I wonder though, is locker room talk widely different from where I live (Norway)? I've spent many of hours in total in locker rooms at the gym and swimming pool. Never ever have I heard such filthy talk. Not anything remotely like it too. Even teenage boys seem to stay away from that. It all seems like a pathetic excuse for their behaviour. My father is a bit of sexist (in a very casual way, like jokes, etc.) but he has educated me on the fact that consent is important and you shouldn't force someone in any circumstance.
