Nice to see someone using proper thought process for a change. I hope u also understand that the government does not give a flying F&*k about public safety. They are intentionally, systematically taking firearms away from citizens. It should be obvious to everyone that only someone who wants to attack a certain group of people would work this hard to disarm them first. If we let them take guns away from regular people, we will seriously regret ever allowing this to happen. I can promise u that. Nothing good ever comes after governments confiscate all their citizens weapons .
There is tons of rifles you can use to effectively hunt, call it what it is, you're paranoid and feel like a big man when you have a gun that you could absolutely massacre people with
@@bluesbrother2383 lol all you got is factless accusations, a single shot break barrel rugar #1 is a hunting rifle that's fact. No battlefield would have a rugar #1 or half the bird guns they've got listed.
@blues brother2 it's a red herring argument that both sides are engaging in. The increase in gun related crime and gun violence on the streets has very little to do with legal gun ownership. Ask any police chief across the country and they all say the same thing; legal gun ownership is not the problem. The problem is illegally imported guns, yet people like you swallow Trudeau's gas lighting nonsense whole. You don't care about the effect this ban will have on shop owners, gun ranges, police training, and those who need guns to hunt and protect their families. You're not a part of the culture, so you're more then willing to let it all burn. All you care about is FEELING safe. Feelings over facts. Feelings over logic. Feelings over the rights and liberties of other Canadians. It's a slippery slope when a democraticly elected government creates feelings based legislation for their base to the detriment of the minority.
I cannot believe that Canadians support the Liberal Government ( Trudeau ) the embarrassment and poor excuse for a Leader, I can only say I hope we get it right on the next election
Canadians do NOT support this sock puppet and his cabal. A small region of Ontario puts this clown into government and it shows electoral reform is badly needed.
the only reason for a government to take away guns from the people is because they plan to do something that will cause a public revolt and get them shot. Little by little, the government will creep into your home and steal your babies.
Not if we're not actually disarmed. All they're doing is giving the false impression of gun control when in actual fact it's easier to get your hands on an illegal assault style firearm than it was to get a hunting rifle even prior to the ban taking effect.
That is exactly why Red China and the OPEC Trillionaire oil Gods are banking on. Canada and the Divided States of America are history. You cannot serve both money and nation simultaneously. Our enemies are within and they have endless rivers of money to buy and sell any fake puppet leader who pretends to have its slaves back.
All guns should be banned. Regular police should not have guns. Only a small number of specially trained police should have them and the military (which also shouldn’t exist in a better world)
We need to get the liberals out of office this has been a horrible 7 years of incompetence. I have never been a conservative voter but I am now can’t wait to vote for conservative next year .
I wouldn't vote for Poillievre, but Trudeau is never getting another vote from me, after this. I really hope Singh does the right thing here, so I have someone I can actually vote for, in good conscience.
And Singh needs to go too! He subverted democracy by making backroom deals with Trudeau to keep him in power and prevent a non-confidence vote to force an election! Now we're stuck with Trudeau until Nov 2025! I've never voted conservatives either but this time they get my vote if it means getting rid of Trudeau and Singh, who've held this country hostage long enough!
The problem with the NDP and Singh is he wouldn’t be opposing this bill if there was an exception for indigenous peoples. That is wrong! And that is the reason why I have to vote conservative. The NDP party doesn’t give a crap about hunters trappers and sport shooters. They only care about the native people and if Truedouche were to put this bull forward again with the adjustments I’ve mentioned they will most certainly back it… so I ask you. Why split your vote? Many people think by voting for another party they will get rid of trudeau but the truth is by splitting the vote you help keep him in power. There are only two parties that can win the election in Canada pal.. conservative or liberals… DO NOT VOTE SPLIT!!
Oh here we go again about the sovereignty act and affecting potential investment within Canada. It's only the left wing biased Legacy Media and their lackies that are saying this to the general public. Well how many Canadians know that the federal government is possibly passing legislation that it may affect foreign investment within Canada too. Of course nobody because the media won't report it,but those within the industry are quite concerned about this bill.
A REPOST from Ben Guay 2 days ago A history of gun control in Canada. • In 1913, you required us to have a permit to carry a handgun. We complied. There was no discernible reduction in violent crime. • In 1920, you required us to have a permit to possess any firearm, regardless of where it was stored. We complied. There was no discernible reduction in violent crime. • In 1932, you required us to provide a reason (only two were permissible) for having a handgun. We complied. There was no discernible reduction in violent crime. • In 1934, you required us to locally register our handguns. We complied. There was no discernible reduction in violent crime. • In 1938, you required us to renew our registration every five years. We complied. There was no discernible reduction in violent crime. • In 1951, you required us to centrally register our handguns. We complied. There was no discernible reduction in violent crime. • In 1969, you designed the classification system so certain firearms could be prohibited on a whim. We complied. There was no discernible reduction in violent crime. • In 1977, you prohibited automatic firearms. We complied. There was no discernible reduction in violent crime. • In 1979, you introduced screening and safety courses. We complied. There was no discernible reduction in violent crime. • By 1994, you required a photo and two references to apply for a Firearms Acquisition Certificate, imposed a mandatory 28 day waiting period, made safety courses mandatory, expanded the background check and screening, reclassified certain firearms, introduced regulations for storage, transportation, and use, and prohibited standard capacity magazines. We complied. There was no discernible reduction in violent crime. • In 1995, you introduced licensing to have and buy firearms, and to buy ammunition. We complied. There was no discernible reduction in violent crime. • In 1996, you required us to get your Authorization to Transport certain firearms, and authorizations to carry certain firearms in very limited conditions. We complied. There was no discernible reduction in violent crime. • In 1997, you regulated shooting clubs, shooting ranges, and gun shows. We complied. There was no discernible reduction in violent crime. • In 2001, licensing became mandatory. We complied. There was no discernible reduction in violent crime. • In 2003, you required all firearms to be registered. We complied. There was no discernible reduction in violent crime. • In 2015, you introduced firearms prohibitions for those convicted of domestic violence. We complied. There was no discernible reduction in violent crime. • In 2019, you passed C-71, which would pave the way for circumventing parliament, and to ignore the experts' analyses (law enforcement, firearms functional experts, community groups, etc.)which you claimed to base policies on, in any further restrictions. We complied. There was no discernible reduction in violent crime. • In 2020, you prohibited some 1500 models of firearms for absolutely no reason than political pandering and cowardice in addressing escalating violent crime. We complied. There was no discernible reduction in violent crime. • In 2021, you reduced judicial consequences for those illegally using their illegally acquired and already prohibited firearms. It didn't affect us, as it didn't apply to us, and violent crime rates continued to climb at an alarming rate. • In 2022, you banned the sale, purchase, and transfer of handguns. We complied. Violent crime rates continued to climb. • Also in 2022, you proposed this latest piece of absolutely useless, enormously costly, and completely counter-productive measure of prohibiting even hunting rifles and shotguns, even though the statistical significance of them or their owners being involved in violent crime registered at the extreme right of the decimal place. And yet violent crime continues to escalate. So, what compromises or concessions are we willing to make at this point in what has been over a hundred years of faulty logic, intentionally deceptive public messaging, malicious and misdirected prosecution, and bad faith negotiations, while completely ignoring the contributing factors and root causes of those most at risk of violent behavioural trajectories, AND increasing your leniency for those who actually commit horrifically violent crimes? Absolutely none.🤔
Underrated comment. The Liberal Government is entirely non-unique especially with their useless carbon tax on the "price on climate change". The Liberals are simply reckless spenders and all over the place.
Very informative. I appreciate the history. Too bad it falls on deaf ears politically. The guberment doesn't want its slaves to be able to make decisions or fend for themselves in anyway. So they will do everything they can to make us all incapable
Look. China is calling the shots over Their super highly paid servant Trudeau. So if any of you Canadians think you can take on a country with the largest navy and the most technologically advanced weapons as well as waves and waves of soldiers. I suggest you all bow down to your fake leader or they will brand you as a enemy of the state. China and our other rich, smart and cunning adversaries would love nothing more then to start civil unrest in both Canada and The Divided States of America. Double Divide and Conquer is the oldest strategy in the book and it looks like the Chinese will have their way. Once they cause a revolt on purpose by first taking your guns and then help further cripple the economy, then it won't be long until the remaining sheeple who are left standing and are ready to drop to their knees from hunger, disease, stress, and the lack of amenities. I am sure we will be easy pickens. The enemy is already within and has the sheeple lining up for the slaughter. But the dumbed down sheep are none the wiser. China is running out of resources and needs North America in a bad way. I remember when the British pulled the same old play somewhere in the past. The real motive is if you can kill most of your world's competition, then the whole planet is yours for the pillaging. The sad part about most countries is their citizens never really know who is calling the shots. I guess they will believe what they want to believe. Kill one or two and its a tragedy, kill millions and its a statistic. Unless Mother Earth wipe us out first.
The only reason why the government would want to disarm you after hundreds of years is because they intend to do something that you would shoot them for.
Going after farmers and hunters is the liberal way. They always tell the media that it's about public safety, but it's really about the U.N. and the vegan zealots.
I can’t believe how often Trudeau steadfastly claims that C-21 is only going after “military style assault rifles”. I own one of the rifles on the latest amendment list, the SKS. That rifle has kept my family fed with venison for many years, and I know I’m not the only one. I think that qualifies as a hunting rifle, and a pretty decent one at that.
Pierre is his father and died years ago. His 'leadership' is in the tank in polls, barely won his last election. There is no gun control issue in Canada. Never been allowed to have assault weapons in Canada. No shootings in Canada with an assault weapon. You have no clue.
The only reason why the government would want to disarm you after hundreds of years is because they intend to do something that you would shoot them for.
So let's follow the bread crumbs: 1) protesting the government = bad 2) over burdening the middle class with unplayable taxes = good 3) privately owned firearms = bad 4) masculinity/being a man = bad 5) releasing violent offenders = good 6) no bail requirement for violent offenders = good 7) government spending that drives inflation = good Conclusion: Create a situation allowing a society to plunge into chaos. Do not allow leaders to rise up and do not allow anyone to defend themselves. Sweep in with emergency powers "for their own safety." Dictatorship/OWG complete.
You forgot 8) subsidize the media with 100s of millions of dollars but only give it to them if you “approve” of their content. Then encourage them to moderate public comments that don’t fit the narrative.
U forgot to add white to the masculinity man. White, straight men are the devil apparently and real women no longer have any importance. Not even to make sandwiches. Lol
What does hunters rifles got to do with anything. That's not what's getting shipped across our borders and that's not the guns that are killing people. I think this is a waste of time
Just like the US going after weapons of mass destruction and finding out that they were never there. So because legal gun owners do not own automatic weapons in Canada they ban the long guns that are ownd by the law abiding citizens approve by you the government 👏
The problem is not “assault weapons” or STANDARD capacity magazines or the law abiding people that own them. The problem is criminals. The other problem is the outright malfeasance and dereliction of duty from the judges, district attorneys, and commonwealth attorneys who refuse to prosecute these criminals and give them proper sentences for their crimes.
The only reason why the government would want to disarm you after hundreds of years is because they intend to do something that you would shoot them for.
@Passive Income & Finance Education hmmm alot of elegal guns coming across are noarders. I don't know ware you are from but here ware l live the people dieing from fentnal is in epidemic numbers that makes covid look like kindergarten so the best ever is alway just your own take maybe a few others . What are you going to do when there are no groceries in the stores line up for your crickets. Ok that is your own deal . Growing up on a farm we always have are way not like you sound like you really would know how to gather ooh well enjoy your bugs
I think pollirvre has been dividing. He hasn’t made me feel like the Conservative Party cares about what makes my life better or the peoples lives in my community.
My father warned me about this very thing 50 years ago. He said never give up your guns under any circumstance Your freedom is at stake Canada was built in freedom..
There is no such thing as an “assault style” firearm. They started saying that after it was finally driven home that the AR doesn’t fit the criteria to be called an assault rifle. They are just making s up as they go, and ppl are lapping it up.
AR15 rifles are one of the best platforms for a coyote gun... I also find it odd that the Ruger mark series and Browning buckmark pistols have 'hunter' models, if they aren't for hunting LOL.
AR rifles... purchased by the Canadian government (the AR10) for wildlife management in several provinces and territories. Users Without licence, and using standard capacity mags (30 rounders) from a helicopter... So someone unlicenced gets to use one for the government, to aerial kill animals, but it's somehow too dangerous for me to use to gather food on the ground... a legal and law abiding owner. Liberal mantra: Reject, deflect, project. They always do it, in that order.
@@Trythis837 Nope... AR15 is not something you could ever hunt with, or open carry... AR15 was restricted, so no hunting use allowed. Either you're lying, or you've just thrown your friends under the legal bus.
Because these smarty pants liberals couldn't find anyone who agreed with their policy to speak up, so they just baited their own MP😆 A cheeky move from a cheeky Prime Minister😆😆😆
@@MayThereBeWorldPeace there is a huge percentage of the Canadian population that’s absolutely sickened by what Trudeau has done to the country. Unless you’re a person that believes they should be coddled by government and have every aspect of their life controlled you would be terribly concerned by what’s happening here.
@@Mrnoddingdonkey Canada is in headlines news for international news networks quite often over issues from 2017 till now, you would be shocked. These bills bring a-lot of global attention.
It’s time to force all of these politicians and people of power to step down! In Canada and America! We need to all unite together and fight these tyrants and put people in positions that are going to serve our countries and our countries only!!!
After seeing this, I have decided to become a member of the National Rifle Association. I encourage all Americans who don't want to see this tyranny come to the USA to do the same. Take action now before it's too late. The 2nd Amendment is sacred.
I a sad to see the response and am deeply concerned with the psychopathy shown by my PrimeMinister to believe that any firearm sold in Canada is designed for killing people. I am willing to accept public safety reasons but again JT has shown a lack of understanding and a distance for those he is supposed to represent. I have decided it has gone too far and I now am willing to put my good name on a class action lawsuit for all of us who have experienced a financial loss due to our governments ultimate hand gun freeze.
Are they wanting to reenact the registry for non restricted firearms again? I mean for those currently privately owned. I know there’s a back door registry for all non restricted firearms bought in stores. And private sales are supposed to be reported now. That’s not what I mean
Good thing America doesn’t have them. Because could you imagine how easy it would be for a bad guy to get one from the US if they did ? I can sleep easy knowing Trudy is keeping us all safe
This is so misleading. Trudeau is doing a great job. He is one of the best PMs in Canadian history. He has saved 1000s of lives during the pandemic with COVID restrictions. He is a true hero of Canada! Guns need to be banned, they are dangerous. Sorry but my right to my safety along with my fellow Canadians trumps your stupid need to own a device of death for a hobby or to hunt. Hunting is not an excuse, there is an invention of a grocery store that has been around for 100 years. USE IT!!! Trudeau has provided higher GST rebates, rent relief and so forth. Him and Freeland are helping fight inflation and homelessness! They are true heroes of our nation!
If you are helping fight crime why is the stolen car rate in Peel Region been climbing since you took office. This summer it hit nearly 10 cars a day, so we have a border problem going out and coming in.
They really like this "kills the most people in shortest time" argument. Do they not realize nearly all 'military rifles' are designed to be easy to use, durable under harsh conditions and easy to maintain. Literally 0 other qualifications. Anything about lethality is determined by what type of ammo will be used. Funny thing is most popular hunting rounds were or still are military rounds like 308 (7.62 NATO) and 223 (5.56 NATO) because they are readily available and reliable. Unless it is a machine gun using automatic fire or explosive munitions there is no real concern about killing the most people as fast as possible in a military context. Both of which are already illegal to own in Canada. Be like making drunk driving illegal but also making it illegal to buy gas and alcohol in the same day... Not really gonna make a difference to drunk driving. Making something that is already illegal and adding extra steps to how it is illegal won't hinder anyone already considering breaking the law... Seems like any prevention measures for gang violence like work programs, affordable housing, affordable food and affordable day care. Or anything to actually combat the amount of smuggled guns coming from the US besides budget increases. As if our current system is working at all... Gotta love politics, a whole bunch of people pushing for half measures since none of them will be in office long enough to see any tangible results. If it can be fixed today it won't be fixed at all mentality and it's despicable
Affordable housing, childcare, affordable food etc... all those things only subsidize employers and hurt employees. If we really wanted to reduce crime and violence we’d do away with them all together.
The crimeminister now says that yes, there are hunting rifles and shotguns on the list to be confiscated and banned and that we should just buy another one that is er um acceptable to hunt with. Make no mistake Canada, the plan is to eliminate ALL firearms from civilian hands unless you meet the requirements for subsistence hunting. 2 years ago I warned people that this would happen and was called a tin hat nutter for my troubles. Well, here we are.
This is what happens when you have politicians that can’t relate to their constituents I am a hunter, and this will directly affect me, it makes it confusing for more than half of hunters that are older. And they use language like assault style well also as a trapper, there’s very specific pieces of equipment I can use and I can’t this piece of amendment legislation is not clear and it doesn’t respect the types of existing hunting rifles that are currently being used that are not of any safety concern to Canadians
@@Mrnoddingdonkey "We can't be their to hold your hand" so you admit that you are working for the government. Also these bans make no sense they are going after airsoft and paintball guns, as well as single shot rifles. How many people commit crimes with single shot rifles?
I'm American & I have to side with Pierre. Trudeau weapon ban law is too broad & ambiguous. In Trudeaus wording, bolt action rifles are considered assault weapons
Toronto violence is skyrocketing, gun violence is amongst that. However, when our crime minister choses to ignore a recent (late 2022) official police report stating that 100% of the guns they were able to full trace came from the states, that is troubling. Trudope choses not to see that as a win for him, but rather that legal gun owners are the contributing factor to the illegal gun smuggling from the states. He does seem delusional
I have a better chance of defending my family with a butter knife than anything in my closet in a timely manner. The laws in canada are a joke. If I defended my family with said "butter knife" there is no doubt I'd end up in prison and the person that I had to defend against would be set free.
No, that’s not true. Either your uninformed and that’s misinformation or you’re maliciously spreading disinformation. It would come down to what you did. If someone is in your house and you fight them with a butter knife and take them out of commission because they also have a weapon or are trying to attack you it’s fine. If someone is in your house and you stab them 10-50 times with a butter knife the justice system should rightfully ask questions.
@@Mrnoddingdonkey Except that it is physically impossible to prove and pointless. Truth is almost none of these laws are realistically enforceable. I can just say that I stabbed him 50 times and he fell unconscious and then bled to death and I would get off easy by the justice system. Same thing with gun bans, they don't stop illegal guns from being used by criminals. If you look at most of the recent shooting almost all have been with illegal and unregistered guns. Not to mention that the RCMP keeps on suspiciously losing their guns.
More of Trudeau's "Hard on Crime". A Florida man arrested more than a year ago at the Blue Water Bridge amid what officials said was one of the largest gun seizures at a Southwestern Ontario border in recent memory has been acquitted of all charges at trial and finally permitted to return to the U.S.
It is true that i would like to see less gun violence in the country, hence, anyone with a previous charge related to any type of violence should be periodically searched for illegal weapons.
When a school yard bully picks up a baseball bat and starts hitting an innocent kid for his lunch money, and that kid grabs a bat to defend himself from the bully. There is now no hitting going on. The bully won't go near the kid because he doesn't want to be hit with the same Baseball bat that he's attacking people with. Now the principal walks over and starts yelling at them and telling them "No fighting here! I'm taking away both of your bats! Give them to me!" The kid who was attacked for no reason walks up and hands the principal his baseball bat. The principal looks at the bully and says ' AND YOUR WEAPON? " The bully shrugs and starts to walk away and the principal just watches him walk straight back over to the kid who just gave his bat away "Ok then, back to class kids." and walks back into his office. Now it's just the kid outside again, except there's no second baseball bat anymore. What do u think happens next? Did the principal solve the problem? or make things a whole lot worse?
A gun ban will not stop me from owning an illegal firearm. A gun ban will not stop a Prime minister from laying in a hole with cold dirt hitting his feet. Keep playing with peoples lives and you will no longer have one i put that on everything.
seems judges & politicians still don’t know what a dictionary is used for: This is for all cause I would like responses or answers Meaning of pal & r-pal Possession and Acquisition Licence ( PAL ) to Restricted Possession and Acquisition … Ok. Is government & courts need to also understand the meaning of words “possession” is in the title Fire arms are a possession meaning of possession “the state of having, owning, or controlling something.” Firearms are personal property … they are taxed Maybe government should live by their own laws which is “ignorance of the law is no excuse… of which I heard police repeatedly respond with “I don’t know, just doing as I’m told” doing as one is told is not what is lawful…. What am I getting wrong?
Maybe you should just stop attacking each other and just work the problem. List the pros / cons of allowing the guns and take it from there. The constant attacks on each other would have gotten us labelled as problems and eliminated from jobs but for you guys that's just Wednesday. Why don't you folks try to be good people and lead from example for a change.
Assault "style" firearm is the most offensive description of firearms that I have ever heard. When a pack of feral pigs attack you, you let me know that a semi-auto weapon is not useful.
