I feel your struggle Jon, I have 3 kids, I’m 29 from Canada.My oldest son is 11, I also have a 1 yr old daughter and another son who is 3. Your son reminds me of my 3 year .It is difficult to have time to ourselves when taking care of them. Every human has their own level of patience and with this virus keeping us all inside it makes life even more difficult because no where to bring kids, no fresh air really, no parks to bring them too , it is hard. Props for stepping up and helping your wife . I swear us dudes are not as cut out for the patience levels needed as women can handle. Hope this virus dies soon. All the best

Hi Jonathan I just ordered your 3 books mastering small stakes no limit hold ‘em, excelling at no limit hold ‘em and modern poker theory. I will now have a total of 10 of your books and just wanted to say thank you. I also have expert heads up no limit by will tipton like you recommended to someone wanting books other than yours. Other than that, and all the free videos on RU-vid I’ve watched, I really took advantage of your free week of poker coaching premium. I watched all the cash game master class, watched 8+ courses (mostly on psychology with dr. Cardner, tilt with tendler and tells with Elwood) and I took all 850ish quizzes and used my stars to purchase 8 video packages: bluffing webinar, 1/2 cash game webinar, live at the bike, extreme video vault, how to level up, crushing cash games, combatting limpers, and going pro full series (really looking forward to watching this). Once again thank you sir I admire your professionalism, attitude, work ethic, generosity, empathy and much much more. I see you as an outstanding role model for young people and someone people can look up to 🤩

At what point should I have a designated "bankroll"? I am a "learning fish" / regular rec. I play a home game (tour and cash) and casinos now and again when I have the time to get away for a day. I make a decent (but irregular) income and I usually have no problem finding the money to bring 5 buy ins to any cash game I want to attend (sometimes on a down month I pass on the cash but I can still fire 2-3 times at the tours I want to play. I track ALL of my poker on an income tracker (so I can analyze what my win rate (well loss rate) is) and keep track to make sure my hobby / growing interest in poker stays at 5 - 15 % of my monthly net. Does a bankroll really only apply to someone trying to live off poker - or depend on their winnings to play? Is there some other advantage I'm not aware of? At this point, if I made a "bankroll" - I'd have to add to it quarterly or so anyway - unless I want to grind two cent 5 cent games... which I really don't.

The dislikes confuse the algorithm in which exposes your videos to a wider audience

Pennies used to be made of copper and cost a good deal more than 1 cent to make. Dimes were at one time made of silver and obviously cost far more than 10 cents. Most coins are now made of zinc and are electro plated in their various coatings.

Good stuff Jonathan. I think your podcast has a leak. A noisy little kid. I understand u are attached to this leak. I also understand many people, myself included, have leaks they are attached to..like not folding when I'm probably beat. I get attached to my big pair.

No drugs, no alcohol and no videogames!!! You want us to be Amish players? I get were you coming from but J the majority of people who play dont start to play at 20something living at home or a single bedroom app. But most if them have kids, a house and a car to accommedate those kids. A business or job with expenses etc. So it is not so easy to cut cost if you have to say no to the wife/kid/employee /customer. Still 👍🏽 for your time and effort.

I agree. That just means you are not completely dedicated to being the best poker player you can be, and that is fine. That is the spot I am in as well at this point in life.

@@PokerCoaching True that. Difficult spot for me tho, i know i can do better. I want to study more and schedule my sessions. But life gets in the way every time. Maybe a good subject for a vlog for the 30+ player with a decent income. Thanks for the reply meastro
