This game requires you to have some japanese knowledge that I'm suprised Arin doesn't have. The "running late girl" is a classic manga trope in which a girl runs late to school with a piece of toast in her mouth, and in her precipitation, bumps into someone who will become their lover. So Arin was supposed to hit the dude. And for the chamionship, it's a classic japanese game in which a person is holding twi cards, a normal one and a joker. If the person picks the joker, the holder wins. The trope is, it's easy to tell which card you will pick based on the expression of the holder. In the game, Arin was suppose to pick the card where the person was NOT crying in order to make them win the prize to buy food

Dan getting back up and dancing around after being killed as a samurai nearly made me spit my drink

Okay but I kinda really love the ones that tell a little story in like 10 seconds. The lady running by the train? Beautiful

The nod to Castle in the Sky around 4:50 was so cute I loved that film

I would love a british version of this game. Want to stand on the escalator? Stay on the right. Want to go through a doorway at the same time as somebody else? They are based on the protagonists from possibly one of the saddest movies of all time: "Grave of the Fireflies", from Studio Ghibli. SPOILER ALERT: both of them die due to starvation, and the little girl saying "I'm starving" really messed with me, but at the same time, made me happy because they actually eat something. I was really surprised to see a few Ghibli references in this game.
