I appreciated the slowness and easiness of the SNES version as a kid. It was the perfect rental game, though it was frustrating to cruise through the whole game only to be taken down by the final boss. Finally got my revenge about a year ago.

Well Greg was always going to be hard to replace and I don't think Pat was anywhere near as funny but it's the first episode and Pat can only get better as he becomes more comfortable in his role. Still a pretty decent episode overall.

SNES is my favorite console ever.......... But I been getting into ROM Hacks and the Genesis has a TON of them that fix the colors and audio to be similar to the SNES. But the Genesis has a bigger FoV (field of view. basically you can see more on the screen) so in all honesty I have been really enjoying the Genesis lately. More than the SNES and all those games

Great to have you back. Excellent job, Pat! When I was a kid, me and a friend would often trade SNES games to play for a while. I would trade things like Super Mario Kart or Donkey Kong Country 3, and in return would get Joe and Mac or Joe and Mac 2 (or even Congo's Caper). At the time I felt like I was getting the raw end of the trade deal, but I've come to appreciate these games as I've gotten older. Solid platformers. I'm just not sure why the early 90s were so obsessed with cavemen?

I was wondering if you gonna use a plot twist to justrify cast change, or just roll with it. But you did neither, kinda smart. Got mixed feeling about new guy. I thought he gonna have new personality as a character, but still good as is

Awesome episode -- Hats off to a great start!-- errr, uh... I mean Pat's. He's got a warm voice and good presence. Maybe it's just my imagination, but I can hear some of Greg's writing coming from him, but he's presenting it in a different way. That shows talent on his part, especially if he was a fan prior to this arrangement. My only suggestion to Pat is perhaps slow down just a -tiny- bit while giving the narration describing the game's features and soften the voice slightly. Through the mic the voice seems to come through a bit stronger than it does than when recording both of you at the same time on the set. As a result his voice sounds really sharp while narrating and it's perhaps a tiny bit jarring.

Been watching you guys for a good while, but probably only a few years right now. I had already seen many episodes, but not all of them and not in order. Rewatching this series from the beginning and just got to this episode - Great way to introduce the character change! Pat's character kinda reminds me of Adam Sessler (in good ways). These old episodes are still entertaining so kudos on the writing and effort that's gone into this for quite some time - Keep up the great work!

No Part II to the BAAAABES IN SEGA song? Boo. But the Caveman song was a pretty good replacement. As for Pat...well, to be honest, you guys don't quite have the same chemistry. Yet. But he's got timing and charm, which works well in his favour. Plus, it's only his intro episode. As time goes on, the chemistry will develop. Also, I agree with some other comments I see here, in that hopefully he'll develop into a slightly different Nintendo character, and not just be Not Greg. Welcome aboard Pat! Can't wait to see what flavour you bring to Console Wars!
