We have drove a lot of different buses (and large vehicles) with all sorts of mirrors. Our all time favourite mirror is the mirror style that tour buses use. You can see the length of the vehicle well, what’s behind you and it’s high enough to clear small vehicles and people. That grain truck you like here has the worst mirrors ever. 😂😂 We seem to have that black cloud here this year during calving. Take care Nelson!

My '92 has window vents, the '93 has the wondows, but not made to open. Both have door mounted mirrors. Looks like you got er ready to go 👍 Hopefully you already have the fun stuff done.. DOT # and license... And the freaking 2290 exception done...

I like those mirrors not being mounted on the door. On my International the mirror moves everytime I shut the passenger door. It drives me crazy, I've tried to fix it once but it looks like the only option is to put a new set of mirrors on it.

Story time because you installing a new wet hub cover reminded me. Had to drop a 53 ft trailer in one of our drop yards and hook up a set of doubles. There was only one converter gear there and someone decided they needed the rubber stopper out of the oil fill hole. Hmmm, what to do now? I had an apple in my truck and I trimmed that sucker very carefully until it fit in the hole tightly. I pulled that set of doubles for a couple of thousand miles and the apple stayed put until I got to one of our yards with a shop. Good video 👍👍

Eventually the fun of working on the truck won’t be fun anymore. Ask me how I know. lol. I’m behind on watching videos, Been a little bit sidetracked the past 6 days.

Personally i think the paint looks alright. Up here i would suggest a darker color on account of snow camouflage. In warmer climate white is the right color. It's been 22 years since I have driven a Freightliner so I don't remember the mirrors. I hope you had a Blessed Easter. Thank you Nelson.

I admire your fortitude in solving problems. You bought 2 trucks and made a good one out of them. It's be cool to have an over-the-road tractor and trailer and that'll come in real handy in hauling things. I'm sure you'll find all kinds of uses for it. I'm sure you'll be real popular with your friends who might need something hauled.

From what I can determine from the pictures Your Truck has Stud -pilot rims, Our OTR has 22 in. Dayton rims ..... The one drawback on our Hay supply--- delivery system is trailer tires.. and keeping up with the different non interchangeability of Rims....

You've made good progress with the truck, it'll be hauling home some Pennies on the Dollar purchases soon I'm sure! Those mirrors are different, for sure. When I was in high school I spent a couple summers working with my dad in a repair shop for a small trucking/excavating company. We had one driver tear 3 mirrors off 2 trucks in 2 days, both old Macks with fiberglass doors. 2 mirrors off the truck he was driving and one off a different truck. Thankfully they fired him after that, the second time he took a pretty good chunk out of the door we had to try to patch back in. Hope you have a good one, Nelson!
