Old school equipment rehab and the reclaiming of my families 100 + year old farm. A lot of variety to the content! The daily routine here at the farm, is not limited to any specific task. It all has to be completed for the final outcome of planting and harvesting to occur. Sometimes it's fabrication on the used and old but new to me equipment, sometimes it's field work, clearing, fencing etc. Whatever tool needed to complete the reclaim, has to be working and in good standings at any given time. That in turn means, plans get changed, schedules get turn upside down, and the daily can change in a heartbeat. I am by no means and expert, or truly know that much about the "farming" side of things...but I have a passion and drive to succeed, one day at least. So in turn that takes us on a roller coaster ride from day to day.

Always something to fix. AS the old farmers around here always said - you have to fix it before you can use it. Looks like you fixed your offset disk well enough for it to be functional for a while. Good job.

It is hanging on for now Mr Tom, but dying daily!! We have had 3/10ths since May28th. Seems every storm goes around us! I'm hoping the good corn will survive but it's looking bleck at the moment. Nice job on the repairs! Im not sure i would survive welding outside in 100 degree heat 😂 We had about 10 days wth the heat index close to 98- it definitely slowed us down. Now tomorrow the high is barely 70- strange summer...

We are set in the 94-99 range for the next week and we couldn't buy a drop of rain. Hello Adam!! They honestly are like leather by this time every year. I do add a little sunscreen to the areas that usually don't get sun and it really helps with the welder "sun" 😉 I bet that was a huge PIA in heat too😳😳 Be safe my friend, I really appreciate you always being here!! Plate it up and pour the wire to it. It'll hold. You better keep that heat. I'd melt. I came in before and looked at the thermometer because I was cooking doing a little cleanup and mowing by the barn. It was 70. 😂

I was so surprised by that little chain fall, couldn't believe it did all that alone!! Oh my Evan, the tires I changed and busted the first years of the reclaim!! That gyro-mor will.send a stick out of there like a tornado can drive a toothpick into a telephone pole!! I actually had hyster forklift tires on it, doubled derby tires and nothing stood up. Looks like someone pulled that cover crop with a 300 hp tractor.. probably with a heavy roller behind it. Would explain why it's busted up there.. BTW, mig doesn't work so well when you forget the g at the end...

Oh don't get me started on that! Somedays it's pretty hard to decide wich door to close to block the breeze. It was in the high 80s and humid one day so I got by with a sheet of plywood to block the breeze and still had my back out to catch some of it.
