I love that you highlight the modding of the units, especially elephants. I usually play on low res for battle and don't really zoom in on units, so I often don't notice those details. Really like the unique aura that this faction has.

2:12 the only thing is they should have made white area towards the whole of India, cuz the capital of the mauryan empire was actually in central India. And they were spread out to almost all of India.

I just started a Maurya campaign today and with 12 elephants and some Persian mercenary spears, my army wins battles in 2 to 5 mins against full stacks.

It's surprising how many players actually invade the barrenlands of Arabia because its the diplomatically easier thing to do. It's simply too much effort and too much attrition for too less reward. However, as you will witness here, a cunning diplomatic approach puts the Mauryans in a prime position to expand in the diplomatically turbulent climate in the East. That being said Arabia Felix can be a lucrative option if the intent is to ignore Arabia Magna and instead use Arabia Felix as a launchpad to acquire Aegyptos early game, as it is an S tier economic province and very easily defendable. However, this option will take you attention away from your reform prerequisites i.e. Baktria and Xvarazm.

@@TWSummary I was fighting Baktrians and at some point I needed generals intervention and even that helped me won the battle,he died....but I promise you I'll start a new campaign,after I finish current campaign,,and I'll make him a great leader,like he was in the real life...after all,the Mauryan troops are very beautiful done

The game is Rome 2 Total War and it can be bought on steam. The Mod on the steam workshop is called Divide et Impera and has three parts. Check the description for the links to the mods.

There already is one the Ghurids that eventually become the Delhi Sultanate. I know they're not technically Indian, but they were the historical foreign rulers of the Indo Gangetic plains in India.

@@TWSummary they are furtherest thing from Indian. Historically one West Indian Rajput kingdom (Bhatti) remained free from them for next 300 yrs .They are present bw Indian Rajasthan and Pakistan Sindh and Punjab

@@TWSummary NO one likes Ghurid in India( except muslims)for obvious reasons. They bring distraction which is irreversible . Present day Bangladesh and Pakistan is caused by them.
