@@FuriousDevi its left over 'compensation' from before they made doors instant. so missle doors,as long as there is something mounted under it with ammo it gets...15% (?) damage resist. partly to compensate the doors being a bigger hitbox, and partly to make up for the fact the doors used to take .25sec to open. ((recent, iirc, the large+ missleboxxes on things like timber and warhammer got this little quirk to compensate for them making the hitbox 50% bigger.))
Two more benefits to multiple smaller launchers: 1. The projectiles have more health and can resist AMS better. 2. Tubes! This helps MRMs the most. They can get their whole payload out more quickly, and thus more accurately, than a single larger launcher.
ya. ever since they fixed MRMs no longer sharing the same 'duration' and now having the same 'volley rof' def makes it viable. and ya more HP which most people kind of ignore because AMS is shunned by alot of higher ups.
Baradul, today I downloaded the game again, and then this video appeared im scared. Dont let me fall for this game again. Only for 2 weeks I promise. Happy holidays ❤
Aah that engagement with the King Crab and Shadowcat in the second game was perfect. Exactly what you would have wanted to see in the first game with that whole lance over committing to the single Shadowcat. Just the perfect amount of commitment and the perfect execution.
I really enjoyed the Dervish. I don't play it enough for some reason. I think I usually go for a Hellspawn when I'm in the mood to play something in that area.
The Dervish is definitely a mech I was missing from Battletech. It's kind of funny to be running a Trebuchet when I have 5 or six heavy mechs; but nothing with lots of missile hard-points.
@@steelshanks1265 I assume that's some of the indie mods; I haven't messed with those though I admit I'm curious. I've been playing Career mode with all the funky story missions.
@@WickedPrince3D They are really well done. 3062 Advanced let's You travel the entire Inner Sphere, with advanced equipment, Clan Mechs, Battle Armor, Tanks, etc. Extended 3025 is just that, it opens up a ton more Mechs from the Sourcebook for 3025. Even the Vanilla Game though is great. Can't go wrong really.
@@steelshanks1265 Where do I find these mods? Is there anything special about getting them to work with Steam? And yes, the other day I got a Cataphract (captured the entire mech with pilot injuries) with the Raven ECM suit; and then crazily enough found another one in a store. Of course they've nerfed the crap out of them to make them less OP; but still it's an interesting idea. I'm imagining putting one in a Battlemaster for my scout to use by end-game. 1st store on 1st planet had 3 +snub PPCs - I grabbed them all even though I nearly instantly bankrupted.
