This is the Arrowverse. They've referenced his show, as well as confirmed they're connected numerous times, and used the same Astra actress, as well as casting a black actress to play the adult version. John is serious in Legends of Tomorrow, it's just that the show isn't as serious or even near as good as this show. The episode with his boyfriend, Desmond, for example. Anything to do with Astra is good. The problem is that he's dealing with shitty demons, like Unicorns and Fairy Godmothers, rather than anything actually scary. I'd personally rather they make another show about the Arrowverse version AWAY from the CW.

He betrayed people for his own selfish goals, he had an immense amount of self loathing, despite getting into a relationship and feeling somewhat happy he managed to mess it up, because he’ll always put magic above people, because magic is who he is. He could never live without magic and his powers. John Constantine himself said it best: I’ll always be a bastard. That’s why his end was so fitting. In the end he walks alone and after legends he probably went back to his hellblazer adventures and maybe form the Justice League Dark. I think part of John being as good a character as he is is that he’ll never be a full on hero or villain. John Constantine is the most ant-hero of all anti-heroes. His intentions might be good, but the way he achieves his goals are always questionable and morally bankrupt at times. That is exactly why he’s one of the most compelling and interesting characters in all of comics.
@Pro Bot actually you're wrong. The Astra actress was different. They have never referenced Manny, Chas, Nergal the demon or Zed. Even Papa Midnite was never mentioned. If the shows were connected as you say, then why did you any of those actors do a cameo??? Why was there never a conclusion to Heaven vs Hell storyline???? Even the arrow verse ahowrunners admitted that this Constantine was not the same one from the NBC show, they just used similar imagery due to Matt Ryan reprising the role. The arrowverse Constantine was always different from the NBC version, it was just the fans coping so hard and wanting it to be the same character that made them ignore certain things. What you stated at the end is just certain consistent character traits/flaws in all versions of Constantine's character throughout any appearance he makes.
@@2Good2BeTrue45they referenced Jim Corrigan during the crisis crossover. When Constantine sees Corrigan he says something like “I’ve met Jim Corrigan before, but he didn’t look like that”. Those others actors didn’t cameo because NBC wouldn’t allow them too and frankly, they wouldn’t need to be mentioned anyway. John’s never with the same people all the time. But the comment about Corrigan was literally a reference to his NBC show.
imagine if constantine had a s2, and it got to the end of the original comic, also having on later seasons zattana, dr occult and even timothy hunter, zauriel, swamp thing, the full spectre and all the mistic and spiritual dc side.
I have watched S1 more than 6 times... can't believe there is still no S2. Matt is THE Constantine and does such a great job in the shows, hope LoT won't wash his character down just because needed to be family-friendly...HE HAS SO MUCH POTENTIALS!!! Great video thanks a lot!
@Nahilla Yousuf Actually not really true. But blame NBC for that, you know its the network so notoriously of cancelling good shows without giving a 2nd chance & approving the show. Never trust NBC.
@@calebyoung1048 Not just Latin. He can speak Italian, Hebrew, Arabic & Sankrit etc. John is multilingual. He can speak anykind of languages. Espicially dead languages like Aztec, Aramaic & Egyptian. Like when John casted a spell & chanted in Egyptian to make Zari's heart to stop on 5 minutes. John is witty, cunning & well-sophiscated. A brilliant tactician & master manipulator. He's another brains like Batman. Good thing Legends got the brains of the team. Sara is the brawn, Nate is the muscles & while John is the brains.

Well in real life, Matt is studious & dedicated with humility in heart. Also he can do both accent like he did for his other character in the old British show "The Halcyon". Playing as an American journalist - Joe O'Hara.

The trick at 1:29 wasn’t magic. Right before that, he poured lighter fluid on his hands and then ignited them. It was pyrotechnics mate, not magic. Just an edit for next time
