He's talking about GoT specifically. He's said it before. GoT is a show where EVERYONE goes on Twitter and talks about it the second something happens or the episode ends. Whereas with other things, people normally don't go all out with the spoilers so soon after/so blatantly.

The right and kkk, neofascists etc insert buzzword are the only ones defending the principles that made America what it is to the point America somehow convinced themselves of American Exceptionalism. However they are in such a morally corrupt position no sane person is going to listen. While the left is the opposite, aside from identities politics which I find self defeating the stereotypical liberal perception in America is that they are on the right track morally but are adopting the tactics/principles of former soviet autonomous states. E.g. Doxxing. It would be fine if the people in the doxxed persons life were allowed the liberty to decide what they want to do, but they are just mob mentalitied into "if you don't help us destroy x person you are just as bad if not worse than the nazi's". Same as the statues and language. You have politically charged extreme minorities pushing these things through when they are obviously a subject for civic debate. Pulling down a statue of general lee or unilaterally determining that you cant say x or y word because 'feelings' serve the same function. They seek to shift what is considered normal to achieve their goals instead of illustrating the strength of their principles. America is stuck between a rock and a hard place I think until you get a centrist president who leans socially progressive in policy while simultaneously telling fringe left groups that their violence and emotional blackmail aren't welcome and effectively exiles them from the mainstream. That president will hopefully be the reset so that people can actually have a discussion again. You see the toxicity on the news, even in these comments. Everyone saying 'nazi's' have no rights etc. if you only believe in freedom for your side, you don't believe in freedom. They should be allowed to march and scream white power all day long. And America should stand there and laugh. It's when people start getting beat and cars plough through crowds you arrest people for their actions, not their beliefs. I hope it gets better and is really just minority groups being highlighted as opposed to this being the new normal.

I'm from Australia and every morning I wake up to more bad news from America. It's gotten to the point of being normalised. It's a strange day when nothing controversial happens in America. No matter what side your on, and no matter if you live inside or outside the US, it is abundantly clear that there is a divide within America with no solution in sight. Every issue divides, and at the moment it seems as though there is nothing United about the United States.
