This Is Awesome, Thanks for the Videos I been on the construction for 3 years past now, and I been doing ok Little by little, but I want to Build an Actual more Legitimate company. Been the man of business all the way around, From Estimating to Work on the Field Is tough and overwhelming, especially trying to hire the good guys and Paying them a good buck to Make them Feel part of it.

I've estimated in the insurance industry for the past 13 years now. I own my company and it is defiantly about the small things. you add what you need to the line items to show what you are charging for. Everything! needs to make sense, down to the cent!

Long shot this was filmed a long time ago, I build post frame buildings in north central Illinois. Super competitive industry relatively low barrier to entry I find myself struggling to sell jobs at healthy margins. I get beat constantly by cheaper builders big and small.

These videos have been a tremendous help. I just got a job offer to be a foreman for a big company running 5-7 painters. Itd be great if you vould go over what makes a great paint foreman specifically ie formulas, relations with the guys and how to separate from all the other foreman that are out there!

Plenty of softwares out there. I use procore for my takeoffs and estimates. There are others that do the same thing. For me the price was a factor and the easement to use.

Wouldn’t a 30% gross profit off $10k overhead mean you need to deposit $14,287 that month to break even? Not sure why it be $33k at 30% and $20k at 50%.

can someone help me here with his math at 23:28?? 50% gross profit markup would be 5000 ontop of the pricing of 10,000 for a total of $15,000? how is he getting 20,000? or am i hearing something wrong?

Your math is a 33% GP. You multiplied by 1.5. Multiply by 2.

Yep I dropped out of doing Contracting to pursue another career with a completely different skill set . Unfortunately it didn't quite go as planned. So I had to get back into Cabinetry. I picked up a job in Thoroughly under bid the job because I had no idea what the numbers were and the potential client was in a huge hurry to get started because they were running behind. Which should have clued me in to how much more money I should have ask for. Anyway I pretty much got my ass handed to me.
