Construction of Vancouver's Lion's Gate Bridge in 1936-38 

Right in the middle of the Depression. Could've bought property in Ambleside/Dundarave for the equivalent of today's nickels. What was I thinking?

It would certainly be a lot more "complicated" to build today as the north end is Indian Reservation. To build the beautiful bridge that stands today the government expropriated the land.
