Hey! Thanks so much :) Glad you liked it! As far as your question: They had a fellow Pearl artist, Omar Hakim playing on the track. He's an absolutely incredible player and the stuff that was going on was very playable by one drummer. To me, they either changed up the mix or possibly doubled his part and changed the sound a bit on one, OR they had him overdub a second version just to make it beefier. So it really could be any of those.

This hi-hat stand is in full production now. It was released at NAMM 2013. It's the 930 series HH stand and has a matching longboard to the new Demonator double pedal by Pearl, but also looks good with the Demon Drive or Demon Chain pedals.

They do have more volume, I was mixing so that the majority of people who listen on laptops and phones could still hear them. With good speakers, you may get overblown by their pure power! lol

Because it's often bland flashiness. I'm not hating on anyone but if you listen to the drums on the original song vs in this cover, there's no comparison. Of course that doesn't justify disliking but that's the probable reason

That was really great but if there was ever one song to simply walk in, sit down & be still before wailing out to....it'd be this. No flippy stuff before, etc. You should have walked in, stared quietly & then crushed it (lol). But I won't say you can't drum! You're very good.

A great cover no doubt about it. Dont need to hear it from me but this being my first time watching your vids no doubt you are a very talented musician and your performane in this cover is outstanding. But I think honestly that those flips in the air were unnecesary and pretentious. As Nile Rodgers said I think a true virtuoso musician will focus in making the journey intresting without doing wacky weird stuff just to make people notice that he is there. Is just my personal opinion.

he has the cymbals, the drums, the camera, the correct recording...ut the swing doesn't exist. So much unnecessary fills, stick tricks, and more fills! not only in this song, in much of them, in general. If you keep practicing and start to enfocate in the song (not in how much pretty or extreme could it be) you'll have better results. however, cheers! From an Argentinian Drummer

I took this great video to the Facebook group of Italian drummers. Despite myself it was yet another proof of how social networks are permeated with pure envy and banality. Everyone criticizes but no one enters into the merits. I think your cover is the Best of contact on youtube but people focus on tricks because it is pink with envy. I personally prefer the sound I get out of the drums rather than the sound on Pearl's channel as well. Nothing against their recording as that's obviously what they wanted, but "the sound is in the editing" is not completely true. These drums sound fantastic in person. You can hear what they sound like from a room mic with no effects in my Trip to Pearl Vlog video. I was extremely impressed.

Well personally its good enough for me (although I am not a professional drummer) but if you consider my opinion, then I would definitely think that you will find these drums a great alternative to more expensive drums and still get excellent sound and a classy good look!
