I love how people actually think Will Ferrell was playing the drums... There's a reason why he does a 4 count before each one, so they could queue the track.

He's actually playing the drums. You obviously don't play drums or you would know how horribly difficult, near to impossible it is for someone who doesn't play drums to follow along to a drummer playing or a track is. What he played was nothing short of rudimentary drumming which anyone which a couple of sessions of drumming can do. So he did a 4 count, you're telling me that other drummers who I've seen do a 4 count like Neil Peart are also pretending to drum? Gtfo. Will Ferrell was playing the drums. He didn't play anything mind blowing. He played very basic things. Get over yourself.

AReyesRodriguez He wasn't playing. It was either a pre-recorded track, or another drummer mic'd up backstage. He missed a few snare hits, and the cymbals sometimes crash without him even hitting them (look at 2:48, no cymbal hit). 3:39 - the snare starts rolling before he even touches the drum.

Harry101UK I don't think you understood what I meant when I said he was playing. He's playing, and you can see that he was by looking at the hats when he hits them. That his audio wasn't being played is another thing. He played the drums, and what he did play, be it played by another drummer off screen or not is nothing amazing or hard to do. What I said was that he was playing the drums and he has at least the most basic knowledge on playing them, otherwise, like I said " You obviously don't play drums or you would know how horribly difficult, near to impossible it is for someone who doesn't play drums to follow along to a drummer playing or a track is". Again, he was playing the drums, and it was very basic. I never said that his audio was being mic'd, but he was playing the drums.

As a chili peppers fan and I really love the band, I would say that their earlier work with Slovak and Irons and etc isn't on the same level as everything they put out SBSM and forward. The only exception is One Hot Minute which is slightly mediocre in comparison to what albums would follow. Mothers Milk was good but not the best and songs like Fight like a Brave and Stone Cold Bush and even older stuff musically isn't as good as like She looks to Me or californication or Venice Queen for example. Their older stuff is great but not their best and Chad is their best drummer and Frusciante is their best guitarist.

I personally like fight like a brave Era RHCP but that's cause I like how funky and raw it is. their later stuff is a little more polished cause their skills have obviously improved. lmao
