@@bryanosorio3958 Letting the aliens know that we enjoy using time and physics for things like fun and artistic expression is actually a pretty good idea if you're hoping for anything positive.
I'd just like to say thank you guys for taking the time to film object manipulators, the exposure really helps communities like ours and encourages new people to join in an incredibly rewarding hobby :)
"encourages new people to join in" - yesterday some friends had me try. I got a practice poi from one of them, was just looking for some basics, but saw this video and added it to the playlist... It's a bit of a paradox really... the guy is soooo good 😱🥺😭😅 - but yes indeed, also very inspirational! (Let's see if I can manage not to get hit on the face again like yesterday... haha! )
Tūmeke e hoa! Karawhiua wō poi kia rere! from Aotearoa New Zealand God only knows what reaction the crowds would make seeing poi done this way on the Te Matatini Festival stage. wicked.
welldone. Traditionally I have made and done poi dance. I love how there is international interest. Great co-ordination and movement btw. keep up the great work!
Please make a video with offroad rc cars. I absolutely loved the drifting ones but I have offroad hobby grade cars and I'd love to see what you could do with them. Possibly go to an offroad track and film some racing??
Poi is really easy to start cause all you need is a ball and a long sock, and start swinging. With practice you can grow from there and its a whole lot of fun.
sandypickle ***** They actually got me to start using contact swords x) I was completeley mesmerized by that video and i have watched it alot of times since i saw it the first time x)
These are contact poi. They are significantly heavier to allow for slower/more controlled spinning and for added control when performing contact rolls and throws. You can bounce your lightweight poi heads a lot faster than these though if you're doing polynesian dance.
Actually, this is a good way to show that subs < viewers. Subs don't mean anything unless those subs are actually consistently watching their videos. Notice how pewdiepie has 50 million subs, but only gets a few million on average per video. That just shows that subscribers mean nothing. I would rather have an average of 1m views per vid and 100 subs, than 1 million subs, but less than a quarter of them watch
Look up poi. Or contact poi. The art started in Hawaii as a martial/ritual practice and spread into circus and performance artist circles. Poi spinning is now a hobby in a group of other flow arts in small communities throughout the world.
really exited that you replied your videos really inspired me to get back into parkour i got a knee dislocation but i have started to do calesthetics and muscle building to build knee strength and hope fully one day we will meet
Imagine the beat down this guy can proceed to give out with these things. Whelp, at least he should be fine during a zombie apocalypse (providing he has two lengths of rope, some weights and enough room)
I love your work. I was very sad to hear that u wouldn't be able to make the filming here in Las Vegas. will you be at the taco throw down? anyways keep up the great.
