Contempo Cafe Review - Come for the Contemporary Resort Views, Don't Stay for the Food

Was there for 8 nights with my family (9 of us) last month and we had several meals here and we were all so happy with our meals and we are rather snobby about our food lol, we didn’t order any of the meals that this crew did though except for the Italian sandwich that we thought was totally fine. The patty melt/turkey Sammy/meatball sub were all rather awesome for quick service. Maybe they have consistency issues which seems to be. A pervasive problem with Disney food lately. I don’t know- just letting ya’ll know that if you happen to be staying at Contemorary or Bay Lake; this place isn’t terrible 😊

Huh, I stayed at BLT in March and had great experiences at Contempo Cafe - both of us have food intolerances and the chefs were great, and the food was great. Maybe it was an off day? The food was def looking yuck Craig, you'll be missed

We will be in Disney in 3 weeks. We love contempo cafe and we will be dining here on our last day. I love their special grilled cheese and tomato soup.

We love the Contemporary and Bay Lake Tower. I do agree that their food isn't the best, but we love eating there and sitting by the monorail. My daughter, when she was younger thought that was Chef Mickey's. So that saved us some money. Lol😊

The grilled cheese and tomato soup from Contempo is actually fantastic

We have Canes and Slim Chickens. How this wasn't Craig's last meal. If so, that sux. He should get to review something good for his last hurrah.

We were at BLT for 9 nights a few weeks ago, ate one time at Contempo Cafe. and no one wanted to return. My hamburger was ok, though.

I actually really love Contempo Cafe and always get the Chicago Beef. Maybe I have different taste buds but I never have anything bad

Contempo Cafe is only good for Instagramable cupcakes.

We have never eaten there, it does not appeal to me, I only like Steakhouse 71 and at that the "Bacon and eggs" was better when it was the wave

I also had a horrible experience at the Contempo Cafe back in March. Got very sick after eating a hamburger there. Will never go back. Wishing Craig all the best on his future endeavors ❤

Hannah's body language tells all about her flatbread lunch

We stayed at the contemporary a few weeks ago for a week and ended up eating at the contempo cafe several times. I loved the breakfast with Mickey waffles, eggs and tater tots. I also loved the lunch and had chicken tenders, French fries and the dole whip cupcake. Dinner was really good as well and I had the flatbread. Everything I had was really good. It was quick service so I wasn’t expecting much. Very basic but good. I was surprised how much I liked it and would definitely eat there again.

As someone from the Chicago area, I must say you accent came off a little New York-ish. Second, I’ve never seen an Italian beef look like that in my life.

I would love to know where you two get your shirts...I know this has been asked before, but I am asking again

Agree with this assessment! If we want to get out of MK for lunch, we always do one of the other nearby resorts. Contempo was not great the two times I've been.

This was a great watch, shame the food was bad, I will avoid next time. 😂

The corn dogs look gross

We went a couple times the first week of May. This place is awful. Had the chicken rice bowl and couldn’t finish it. The kids breakfast platter was fine(we eat kid’s breakfast at food courts if we go).

The patty melt is good and I thought the Italian beef was fine. The other items…hit or miss. I respect the review, but I would recommend trying the patty melt.

Absolutely, with all the great Quick Serve available on the Monorail route, this is the worst! I was forced to eat there twice for work. Breakfast is even worse. Thanks for sharing another review.

For a moment I saw the video and thought “oh god, here we go, we’re going to be the weirdos who hate on Contempo Cafe while everyone loves it” Nope, totally agree with you 100% it’s so bad compared to the other monorail QS.

Does anyone else remember the Pompano Grill? I think it probably turned into a merch shop. The outer rim looks a lot lighter than I remember. Yet another remodel?

The teeny tiny peanut butter tart is really good and gluten friendly.

Hannah, Raising Cane's ALWAYS wins out! I moved to an area with no Cane's and have driven two hours out of my way to get it. I've only driven by Huey Magoo's out in the sticks in Mississippi.
