I’m a young teenager (12-14) and people are prone to believe only 8 year olds watch content farms. but I kid you not, I’ve seen 11 year olds and middle schoolers watch this kinda crap. So it’s affecting everyone. Thankfully I never got exposed to anything like that and I’m not an iPad kid, but jeez going to school nowadays actually hurts my brain because of what the kids talk about. Not to mention little kids on their iPads in restaurants, that’s bonkers.

The worst part about these content farms is that their content ruins the franchises and their fandoms. Digital Circus 🎪 is now considered cringe to many due to the fact people associated the series with the cringe content made by these content farms. *cough cough* Lacybox *cOuGh CoUgH* Even the creator is aware of it and can't do anything about it, which is sad.

genuinely i thought the ‘brainrot’ i viewed as a kid was bad… this stuff is actually so much worse 😭 my little cousin (6) watches this stuff and i have to refrain from taking his ipad when i see him. he only gets an hour per day but sometimes i wonder if that’s too much 😨😨

Content farms are horrible, i saw my baby niece watching chase from pawpatrol doing weird things on her ipad and luckily my brother turned on something else for her. I’m praying for these kids, sadly even i used to watch these when i was 7 because i had unrestricted internet access at a very young age.

theres also something i like to call "hidden brainrot", its when the content isnt exactly to be counted as "brainrot" but still trying to cash grab on childrens media/media that mostly has a children audience, (example is GH) there is barely any callout video on this, its bothering, really. (they have also been seen putting NSFW themes in their videos.) they also seem to animate their videos in a very well style so that it can convince people it not brainrot.

You’re spreading the truth!!! My younger sister had been watching content farming videos and then secretly watched most of hazbin on my account and watch the digital circus pilot. I ended up making her a RU-vid kids account and monitor her stuff now.

yeah content farms are getting too out of hand…I wish youtube would just ban the inappropriate channels. They don’t even watch the actual shows they just go off of what they hear or see. Yet youtube continues to ban innocent channels (sometimes, my friend got terminated for no reason). Thanks for talking about this bre because i feel more people should talk about this (ik lots of people do but not enough for youtube to ACTUALLY notice.)

As someone who wasn't allowed to watch youtube until they were 16, I don't blame these kids who watch all these fast pace non-kid-friendly videos. My internet time as a really young kid was always very restricted, so I didn't want to communicate to my parents the videos on yt kids made me uncomfortable or something I knew didn't feel right, because I didn't want what little I had to be taken away. Especially when all the kids at school would talk about certain trends or popular things, but I had to join the conversation late because yt kids was always slow in approving videos for the platform, and to me that was better than never being able to join the conversation. Now I realize that all the platforms I used (all limited to "kid" setting) had shows I shouldn't have been watching, even if I didn't really understand what was happening. I really hope it gets better for Gen Alpha, because entertainment should be taken more seriously, and this generation shouldn't have to feel like that content farms are the best out there to offer. The worse thing that i found out is that one of the content farms like maxdesignpro litteraly has A FANDOM. Still not as bad as the innapropriate content farms but still pretty bad that something thats content farming has its own fandom.

I'm a Minor and i agree here. I don't want it to be in my FYP because it's really annoying and very.. Weird??? The comment sections of these Content Farms are mostly Children Younger than the age of 13. I have an opinion about this, And they should not Turn Famous trends into brainrot. Some people are starting to hate on it because of the People making content farms. It should be stopped, But since we can't stop it, it's better it ignore it and tune your FYP. It's better rather than complaining about it. I hope children among us are safe on social media.

As a 13 year old, I remember watching things like this when I was around 6 or so. The only difference was that the ones i watched were of Mickey mouse (which doesn't make things any better, the videos were just as disgusting as the current ones). I thought these types of videos had stopped, but ig I was wrong. Thanks for being part of the creators bringing attention to this :] I don't think many people talked about this when I was little, or tried to get the videos removed from RU-vid. If anyone at all.

12:25 it's so weird seeing my art in someone else's video- I'm glad you like it tho! ^^ also, I have seen a few videos about the content farms, I'm not a really big fan of the whole thing in general. I haven't investigated that much, but how I see it is just creators exploiting other people's stuff for clout. like the digital circus or hazbin hotel. I personally think it's fine if it's not inappropriate & for fun, but I don't like how they use hazbin hotel & stuff similar directed towards kid audiences, because that's not something a kid should be watching. RU-vid also needs to get better with the rules & such, because videos like that with those thumbnails shouldn't be allowed to be recommended towards kids. & I agree that the parents need to be stricter too.

Even though every generation has had some form of “brainrot” it’s considered even worse now because every kid has access to the internet now. My parents are far from perfect but at least they didn’t let me run rampant on the internet throughout the 2010s. Seeing some of my baby cousins cry cause they can’t go on their mums phone which is blasting something with blinding colours is kinda sad

As a person who is using a tablet this is true people mostly think ipad kids watch skibiddi toilet (how you even spell it) and brain rot things but i don't mostly other kids too. I used to watch brain rot playdoh but as I grew older it felt boring it shows that some people need to be patient and wait for them to grow older so they can stop watching skibidi toilet or brain rot things

I totally agree with all points made, but the one that stood out to me the most was that children should not be allowed on the internet. I didn’t have an iPad as a young child, but when I got one, it basically ruined me. I used to adore reading, and would read multiple books a month, but once the iPad came into the picture, that all went out the window. Even still, to this day, my attention span is ruined and I can barely do anything that isn’t on electronics. I don’t even wanna think about these three year olds that already know how to use RU-vid.

I feel horrible for the people who made the original shows and games the content farms make videos on :( Its also sad to see people who are fans of the Amazing Digital Circus, Skibidi Toilet and other shows and games get made fun of because of people seeing the content farms videos and assuming that's what those games and shows are about.

The problem is a lot of parents simply don't understand or refuse to look further into this issue, and youtube wont do anything unless there's enough public outrage (it's happened once). It's tough educating parents on these things when they refuse to take a microdose of responsibility and sit down to learn about what their kids are consuming on a daily basis, and youtube needs to be heavily shamed for allowing an entire generation exposed to and grow up with this content when even that very content blatantly goes against the TOS. Yes, we had brainrot back when we were kids, but the vast majority of that content wasn't made by giant teams of animators and sketchy business opportunists making a profit specifically off children of this magnitude. When there was content like that, it was NEVER promoted as "kid's content," and a lot of times was also made by other kids in their teens trying to be cool and edgy while preparing for their next stage of life into early adulthood. These content farms and what kids consume today is purely predatory and softcore porn. There is nothing funny about RU-vid themselves promoting this type of content to children. At least our brainrot wasn't pushed by giant corporations back then.

The way that you blend the colors together to make it look like it has genuine shading instead of just putting a color down and leaving it there with no blending is really, *really* cool and quite satisfying if I do say so myself!

I used to be a victim of content farms when I was younger and I realize how disgusting this all is! I'm glad most of the content farms I watched weren't related to inappropriate things.

I remember when I was 9-8 I was watching a male RU-vidr playing the h3ntai l0li game on RU-vid, it was censor but still, you can know what he was doing while his channel's audience was def kids like 11 or under. Out of curiosity, I searched the name of the game because I wanted to see what was censored, and I was exposed to those weird and underage contents that were just suncomfortablefy to think back. The video is still on RU-vid and I reported it.

Whoah 11 seconds ago. Hai bre 👋 Aight i finished the video. Absolutely agree. Also spongebob was considered brain rot!? That show is way better than brain rot. Another thing early youtube was bad. Like i vividly remember accidentally clicking on a video called "emo dora" and finding myself watching uh... minecraft ykyk on youtube. But other than those never had a poor expierence. Actually i remember clicking on emo dora when i was between ages 5 and 8 (whenever the ipod was a thing cause thats what i watched it on) the dora swore and i immidietly clicked off. Because i was a kid i knew that wasnt a thing i should watch. Fast foward my cousins showed me and my younger half cousins a video of justin bieber eating poo. The amount of uncomfort i remember feeling (and still feel) was insane. This was early youtube and honestly, nothing has changed. Lastly, my youngest cousin watches brain rot and honest to god i literally felt my brain getting smoother. And i have adhd so im literally just as suspectable to brain rot and doom scrolling as a child is. Brain rot literally smoothens your brain. It literally makes you lose braincells. During their brainrot scrolling i saw a content farm video of aphmau. My literal fav youtuber a big influence on many (even if her current content is content farm-y she still was one of the best minecraft content creators imo) and i literally forced her to scroll. It wasnt inappropriate (i dont think?) But just the fact it existed really, really bothered me. Like no thats not her that not her content youve never seen it its not like that dont let tell you that. I watched this kinda of Content farmer when i first entered internet i was about 10 or something but i have seen so many of this things with MLP(nothing much it was more dress, envy and giving birth), another i remembered me and my brother we're watching a video about a guy cosplaying? as Goku in GTA, i don't remember which, and he was going to the house of a character that looks as the same specie as the assistant of Bills of Dragon Ball(i forgot her name), she was showing the house but when goes to the bed she says:"This is were the fun will start~" and then the scene becomes black and you know... But then my mom have heard the video and told to us to not to watch it again. The worst part is that didn't have any warning about the mature content on the video😢
