Friendly reminder that people with the amount of money that Mr Beast has are: A) Always doing it for the money. If they can get a video out of it, then they can sell sponsorships and build their brand. If you learn about it from a video they produce or a a part of, they're going to get their pound of flesh, and if you're a part of it, that pound of flesh will come from you. B) Not authentic. Yeah, Mr. Beast produces an image of a very authentic person, and he and other producers market themselves off a sense of authenticity (e.g., getting people to call him "Jimmy"). However, that image is one that has gone through layer upon layer of marketing and production polish. We need to stop acting like "Mr. Beast" is so cool b/c he's doing this great game show and accept that his game show is no different than the same hellish production nonsense that other "reality" shows manufacture. It's the same class warfare of peasants competing for their lord's amusement, and it's the same tax on poverty as the lottery. The only difference between it and the lottery is that this is offering the impossible offer of riches for people's time and exposure to hellish environments instead of an amount of money.

Funny how people use to say that Mr.Beast would one day create a real killing game. Slowly but surely

My friend was on x factor and they only gave him a hot dog and $25 a day and they filmed him for months, made him quit his job and film long hours and then ended up sending him home and using zero of the footage. The entertainment industry is full of this kind of stuff has been forever

It seems like a lot of the hidden stuff about Jimmy was really well hidden. I mean, if you watch his podcasts, he has some really messed up views on work and WLB, and I'm absolutely sure he runs a sweatshop for his teams. I wouldn't be shocked if a lot of what he does and the issues around safety are due to how overworked his employees and team are. Maybe he has good intentions, maybe not and he's just using people, but it seems like as he's grown a lot there's been this explosive growth in the team, and now there's way more pressure to perform, but also there's more a company around him. Originally, he could work a lot with his team because they were a big group of friends who all wanted the direction of the channel and company to go in the same direction, but now that culture is catching up to him as he's expanded from close friends to an actual corporation. It really seems like the whole situation is a result of scale and size and Jimmy being the worst person to run the business, but so much of the business is tied to Jimmy that it becomes really hard to envision Beast without Jimmy.

What is worse is that any calls to respond to allegations is deleted on his newst video.

The first part of the statement at 5:02 is normal for MrBeast videos because he doesn’t want the contestants to get robbed so he doesn’t pay contestants in cash, however it isn’t normal for a contestant to not get paid for weeks after the video. Also a lot of times the stack of cash usually isn’t real and is typically prop money.

Mr. Beast needs to hire real PR people someday because holy shit every time his friends talk for the company they just literally add to all future litigation. Like if you're gonna be a sleazy multi-millionaire, at least pay someone to try to make you look less like a shitty person.

So basically this was an organizational nightmare. The show should not have been greenlit unless they had all of the logistics worked out enough staff and a plan in place. It doesn't sound like any of those three things were true unfortunately.

1000 people and only 1 person wins 5 million. Why not just split 5 million between 100 people? I'm done. He doesn't actually wanna help. It's just about the money and going bigger and bigger.

If it’s true, it’d be saddening, but not entirely surprising. Going from a few medium sized, brief competitions to trying to host one of the biggest game shows ever is a massive jump. One I wouldn’t be surprised if he or his staff weren’t ready for.

Jimmy knew better than "big Hollywood" or whatever to shave a few bucks per hour on his big budget show for how to run things without literally torturing people. There's a reason why entertainment unions exist and why the big companies have to deal with them even though they hate it. Mr. Beast (by his actions) is begging to be the next Alec Baldwin but with even fewer controls in place.

Wow a guy interviews aka Mr Beast saying that he cares about making money and that his driving force. That is why he "cracked" RU-vid algorism. Did not care about people safety to make a buck. You know just like any CEO or head of large business. 1,200 is calories is fine for very low-level activity aka not walking much. But in a physical completion that is a starvation diet. I was given two MREs a day in a high intensity field training along with one hot meal. MRE is 1250 calories. They need around 2000-2500 calories or bit more. And the person who contacted Phill is either hardcore Mr Beast fan or an employee. We already know he uses employees.

Funny how one that is not directly affected by lack of treatment, food and other basic necessities can claim that it wasn't that bad. Come on. Mr Beast and his production claim to have a lot of resources available, the fact that similar things keep repeating is cause he haven't care to address the problems. He doesn't need to address each case directly, but it is on his hands to bring in experiences resources and organizers to take care of the important aspect such providing the basic to participants. Labeling yourself as a youtuber doesn't except you from having common sense specially when operating at the huge scale he is doing.

I respect Rosanna for sharing what she was hearing so promptly. Edit: I've lost respect for PDS for relying on a single contestant's claims to counter the accusations in an attempt to seem unbiased. The sheer volume of accusations outweight the confined perspective of a single person's claim to the contrary.

Let's be honest Mr Beast doesn't care about the contestants he only cares about the views. I doubt many people will get their 1000 because jimmy is always creating videos at a loss.

The person you talked to was definitely one of the men who benefited from the chaos. He clearly wasnt the one having to sit in his own blood, or worry about a serious food allergy, fear of being assaulted or trampled, or depending on the proper dispensing of life saving meds. Just saying - things dont seem so bad when the worst of it doesnt affect you. Plus he was in the games for a few days which means he wasnt in the first team eliminated so he was most likely a dude.

When your name, your brand is on this, you need to make sure everything goes smoothly. If any of these allegations are true, just even a tiny pit and Jimmy claiming "he was unaware", that does not excuse you, YOU have a responsibility to make sure everything is done correctly. Ignorance is not an excuse.

A lot of people risk their lives for a paycheck and to put food on their kid’s plate. $10-$30 a hour for some of the worst jobs these rich people could only imagine. Offer these guys a chance at $5m? Of course many would take that chance.

It's a weird crazy mess that really doesn't need to get this type of attention. It's weird drama, and if people's rights were infringed upon, they should get the courts involved. With all this back and forth though it just seems like Mr Beast didn't do a good job of hiring his executive staff to handle these issues from day one but in most cases got better from there.

This is so terrible. Ive liked him for so long. I just told my parents a couple weeks ago that I couldn’t wait for him to be the age where he could run for president and I would absolutely vote for him even though he said he probably wont. Now I’m just kind of trying to not hate him. I dont know if its worse if he says he was never aware as the specific person who’s supposed to be aware, or if he was and continues to try to sweep it under the rug.
