One small detail i like is that they made Shepard sound like he was actually communicating online with TF 141 unlike the original where it sounded like they were all in the same room
Price: Shepherd, are you willing to do what is necessary to win? Shepherd: No shit son. In fact, I’m gonna have you, Soap, Roach, and Ghost killed soon. Price: What?? Shepherd: ... sorry I mean, always.
@@japz321 Ouh but I figured since MW 2019 is the prequel to everything, it meant he founded it. I actually don't even remember seeing Sheperd founding it but I think it's just bad memory. Years ago since I played the game:(
Incredible case of OCD. How many times can you press check a weapon? This guy must never be able to leave the house because he keeps going back in to see if he turned off the stove.
Price intentionally disconnected, plus Shepherd never wanted to won he just wanted the war hero tag by killing Makarov himself, he even tried to kill task force 141 in the gulag by the excuse of 'early bombardment'
@@yashgupta1724 damn i dont even think bout navy attack the gulag in early time, i think thats because navy isnt under sheperds command, and now i understand, tks dude
@@yashgupta1724 another thing is... people usually thinks Makarov himself caused WW3, but Shepherd has the same responsibility as Makarov does. Both of them were the WW3 architects.
@@IgorFonseca244 very true, he used Allen to make it look like the airport massacre was done by America, since ultranationalists were already causing civil war in Russia, Makarov used it as an opportunity
If this game taught me anything, it’s that if you ever find yourself working for a questionable organisation and are out on patrol, don’t stop for a smoke
@@siegfried2k4 I don’t want to be that guy but r/woosh because they’re considered a questionable organization because they’re doing questionable things like owning and launching nukes
Just like how U.S. sustain the Middle East conflict, so that the elites got the excuse to stay in power. Trust me, if Major General Shepherd live and serve in 1950's during Eisenhower's administration, President Eisenhower will love to have him fired or arrested for insubordination.
Thanks to Price, he saved US by launching EMP ICBM, disabling Russian equipment and navy on East Coast, allowing US from West and Midwest to counterattack, but this inadvertently cost the lives of SAT-1 and ISS crew. A small sacrifice.
It probably cost a lot more than that. A part from the massive damages to America's infrastructure which would cost billions of dollars and at least several months to repair it likely ended more than a few civilian lives down below. Don't forget about the air-liner that crashes.
Never understood why there was still civilian air traffic over DC at this point of the story... Except for shock value (Btw I loved your comments under those Generation Kill videos Marshall, I’ve learned a lot thanks to you)
The whole idea of Russia invading the US in it of itself is completely ridiculous. Russia has absolutely no capability of launching an invasion on the continental United States, it would be the dumbest decision ever made in history. The only thing that would make sense is the other way around, the US invading Russia, since the US actually has a military with enough naval might (especially air craft carriers), international military infrastructure, and air force size and superiority to launch an inter-oceanic invasion. This is ignoring the stupidity of Russia somehow being able to invade the US without anyone noticing lmao
The sniping part of this mission reminds me of the mission called "All Ghillied Up" mission in MW Remastered because while Roach is with Captain Price, after you kill a enemy Captain Price said "Beautiful" that's one of the words said by Captain McMillan.
6:16 when I was playing I noticed price wont move on unless you takes out the patrol. This is something not present in the original, hope they can fix it
General Shepard is voiced by Lance Henriksen (Bishop from Aliens) Samuel Hayden from Doom 2016 and Reinhardt from Overwatch is voiced by Darin De Paul.
This game campaign mode is super fun very interesting, the best I've played. Well idk about the improvements because i never played it before remastered so idk how to differentiate certain things that you guys see..
In this mission (at least in original MW2) you can save a bit of time by just shooting the Hellfire Missile and boosting the missile RIGHT when the interface appears before the predator is shot down by the SAM. You have a 1 to 2 second window to fire, boost and kill the SAMs right after the interface opens.
One of the best missions on COD 2, I absolutely loved that mission and the predator drone that you take out the radar dishes or whatever they were, it's a long time since I played that game. I remember the FAMAS in that game it wasn't that bad, 3 shot burst I think it was. If you make contact with the first group of soldiers in the 4×4s which stop to view the bodies of the fallen you kill, once you have dealt with them you should find the AK47 Grenadier with the underslung grenade launcher. That's what I used to do anyway, keep the EBR scoped I think it was until the hill where the drone controller is along with the Grenadier AK and then swap the scope for the Steyer AUG once you have slid down the hill or maybe another weapon, but I would certainly dump the scope by midway through the mission, after sliding down the hill on the snow. I loved playing that game.
They changed Ghost's animation when the missile launched. However, there must be a misunderstanding that happened when the animators listened to the voice dialogue. When he says, "Code black, code black", his gesture is to sway everyone away as if he is saying "Go back, go back" instead. A little nitpick there but I thought was interesting to point out. Overall, the improvement was great!
It was like that in the original game too. I think you are forgetting this is Captain Price, survived a sinking ship, defended an LZ essentially on his own, survived acollapsing bridge, Russian Gulag, dodged drowning in water rapids, fighting a decorated war General, surviving a crashed helicopter, falling from a sky light. You think he can't predict BTR's? Pfft.
@@jackhughes1741 That's just a stupid excuse. A better reasoning would just be that Price heard the BTR's engine before it showed up, not "predict" it. Also, the timing is definitely different than the original. How did that BTR know that they were there? It saw them first before firing in the original. Here, it rolls in and immediately starts firing them. Seriously, i'm usually not this picky about detail in videogames, but MW2R's changes is LITERALLY in the little details like this.
There is a loot of loopholes I don't understand. - Price was in suctody. How did he became the boss regardless? - How do he is able to launch a Submissile. Did he got trained for it and got the launch codes? - He forgott to explain to Shephard what did he meant by "bigger fire". How do he expected his approval? - Did the mission "Contigency" happened at Price's own actions, Without the superiors knowlegde? How so? - Price is allegedly launched the missile to help the US, But how did he realised that? Did he had acces to US war statistics? Regardless that it is not belonging to his rank? And how did he made sure that no Russian reinforcement is awaiable? And some fun fact. -The EMP would kill most electronics. lets see. -Anti tank rockets and missiless would be incapatitated, except one. The russian RPG-7 uses mechanical trigger ignition. Not electronic. -Night vision equipment would fail. Great hard for the US troops, Since they would have to give up night attacts. While the soviet troops does not got used to it as much. -The EMP would not have effect on towed artillery on both sides. They are using mechanical firing. And optics. - The EMP would render self propelled artillery useless due to the Autoloaders falling inoperatable. - The russian IFV called BTR-80 would lose it's engine power up until the batteries being recplaced but the armament would not suffer any issues due to the fact that it is hand traversed and all mechanical. - The so called Vulcan gun and similar weapon systems would be knocked out. They are running on electrical motors and batteries. - Most tanks would be still able to fire, But only hand traverse and optical sight could be used. Question is. Could the abrams ammo rack door be opened without power? Rate of fire on russian tanks would be slow as they have to use manual loading, but not impossible. Another question is the sights and ballistic computers case. Most of the tanks could be made runners by replacing the batteries, But the sensitible electronics would be gone. -Airforce would be gone. But russians would have the advantage to send new units from the mainland.
Did you know if you follow those Russians when they start retreating they go behind the building and they just auto script die behind it. I went back there and I see a pile of corpses
Yeah alot of people fail to understand that. Altho it gets a bit distracting to think that someone is holding an armed concussion grenade in the air like a maniac.
After the mission THE GULAG when Captain Price punched Roach, earlier before their mission.. Soap: Okay lads, let's proceed to the next mission.. Price: Soap, maybe you can stay right here...I just wanna have a good time with Roach.. Soap: Okay sir?? Price: Roach...wanna hang out? Roach: Roger that sir. THEN THE MISSION STARTS..
I still don't understand the logic behind putting the UAV's weapons system under control of the ground element. There should already be a team operating the drone from a station miles away. Makes no sense.
The graphics are honestly okay, but the sniper rifle scope has a static reflection that suddenly changes when moving to a different place. That is terrible. Example @ 3:48
In a certain way, Sheperd was right to attempt an assassination on Price since you don't want anyone under your command to launch a nuke strike without any orders. This isn't the sense of initiative the army wants to teach their soldiers..
Price wasn't actually in 141 at the time , they had just rescued him from the gulag. So he wasn't actually under Shepherd's command from the start. When we see what Shepherd was actually doing, it suddenly makes Price the much lesser evil.
At 7:33 if you dnt go to ridge n take control of drone u can bomb the Sam without ur drone getting destroyed One more thing if you listen to enemy chatter then they dont differentiate between SAS/141 and US army combinedly u been called ameericann..
