Also I think that when you invest in something like that, you need to invest in a third party to come and look it over . Make sure nothing is wrong with it before you purchase anything. Because a lot of those vehicles will throw together so fast. Even though they might be new, they still might have problems. You to get what you want and not have to do alot of repairs or remodeling. But sometimes that cost money.

Winnebago looked kind of interesting but on what little I saw of the kitchen it didn’t appear to have much counter space to work on.

You are right, not much there at all. As I’ve looked at some of these smaller options, I may have to pivot surrounding how I, “Chef-It-Up!” In the future 😉

Diesel engines are known for their reliability and longevity. The downsides are cost for fuel and availability.

We've enjoyed watching and learning from your search for your next RV. We've had 6 in the last 4 years (a B+, a small trailer, a 30-ft Class C, a Class B, a 34-ft 5th wheel, and an 18-ft teardrop). And we still haven't found the one that suits us. 🙄

Given the Death Star's demise, and all the problems we saw Nomadic Fanatic go through with his Mirada, I'd shy away from owning a Ford Triton V10. FWIW, diesel truck engines are usually durable in RV service. Diesel fuel is readily available on the Interstate, and you'll usually get more MPG. With a tiny bit of planning I don't see availability of diesel fuel being an issue. Plus, you're a "Winnebago guy." I don't know whether this works for you financially, but I can tell you _really_ liked the VIA.

Do you have a list of "wants and needs"? A floorplan. Separate bathroom (non wet 'you will hate that'). Full kitchen area with stove, oven; possible microwave/convection oven to taking up chefing it up a higher notch. So much to think about. I bought according for floorplan and amenities. No bunks, no outside kitchen needed. However we had to have a decent tow vehicle. Good luck with your research ❤ Safety first!

I had a 2016 Itasca Reyo (made by Winnebago) similar to the Via. I loved it for quality, ride and 16 mpg. I sold it to buy a big class A to winter in but really miss the Itasca. When we were weekend state park camping it was perfect.

Check out the price and look for a 20-30% discount depending on what price they come back to you with. I am a longtime RV’er who likes the Winnebago construction, but not the interior layouts and storage when you have a family. I have written to Winnebago, and asked about the kind of layouts I would buy and never got a response.

Make sure you have some sort of "toad" with you. Diesel isn't cheap and you don't want to get caught driving something that gets 10-12 mpg using diesel when it's $4-6.00 a gallon.

Like my Dad Use to say you get what you pay for. And that's an investment. I think you should get what you going to feel. Good in and enjoy traveling in.

So much fun watching your search! Depending on your budget, you may even be able to get a brand new Class C, maybe even a Class B, considering the pricing of those used rigs. Winnebago ✅️ - that was a handsome unit. Very best of luck to you on your next new home.

Very interesting. We don’t have any experience with class B & Cs but they look nice. What type of vehicle will work for you? Gas or diesel? So many options!

look into. living vehicle, Couch House , go little guy , or KingStar. oh! and Dynamax Europa Class C Motorhome. Maybe Escape 23 trailer. I hope that helps?

GOOD point! . I’m 53 years old with Chihuahua. My wants say 5th wheel & truck but my NEED say stick with class B . Class B can be use as daily car/ road trips. It’s just me , my dog and I don’t plan on living on the road full time over 62 only half road/ half home..

Diesels can tow heavier things, like a boat, enclosed trailer, truck or a big car.

I would stay away from a diesel. Given your unwillingness to have the gasoline V10 in the Death Star replaced, are you really willing to maintain a modern diesel?
