Continuity and adverts - Father Ted (28th April 1995, C4) 

My word. The "Glam Rock Is Back!" promo has aged badly, given what we learned just a few years later about Gary Glitter and others of that era... How unnerving, in retrospect, to watch adverts that don't include web addresses in them. I'd almost forgotten the days when an advert would sign off with a phone number or even a Teletext page #! And I was amused by the trailer for "brand new comedy called Friends, all 20-something and all living and learning in New York". Gee, whatever happened to that show? Seems like it disappeared without a trace after just that one episode... Seriously, though. Thanks for sharing. Nostalgia's good, even if it's not what it used to be.
