A bit disappointed the final boss ended up becoming one big-ass alien as opposed to General Varanis, as I had hoped. But the ending had me wanting more. Especially since it sets the stage for the Alien Wars and the Hard Corps in this all new continuity.

Oh, gee, I hope not. I still find it silly that the Contra Team have already defeated an terrorist group and prevented an alien invasion from happening, and yet a total war is happening. I mean, it's already too soon to follow the Alien Wars. I kinda don't like where this "rebooted" continuity is going imo.

@SolCresta3405 Yes, they were building up to the Alien Wars. Contra takes place in 2633, Super C in 2634, Operation C in 2635, and Contra 3 in 2636. My real problem is that WayForward and Konami decided to hit the retcon button and move the Alien Wars to an earlier date, being 2634 AD (the years in which the events of Super C took place).

@@SolCresta3405 I know. But that could be anyone's guess. Why not just keep it as the year 2633 A.D. instead of replacing the year and decade with X? It's almost as if they wanted to keep it vague, even though we already know what year the original Contra is set.
