I can imagine the time and effort that went into creating something that we are able to access for free. Thank you so very much for all that you have done!
Thank you so much for doing this video, having difficulty on passing my contract exam and university lectures is not as easy to follow, and these video is more easy to understand. Thank you
I have heard this over 40 times to get a grasp on contract law. I played it again and again to hear all the little gems that I missed. This course is almost all memorised in my mind and ready to learn your next 2 hour law summary. I can't believe I can get this for free. Your a legend
What do ya think of the gpt3? I can't say I'm not impressed but it would be a lie to say that it doesn't deserve a deep thought about the potential for catastrophic consequences... Intention is all fine and dandy until it be self aware and realizes we're just monkeys that love pressing buttons and likes to lie about it, especially to other monkeys... I'm pretty sure we'd be lucky, to be as fortunate in that situation, as the monkeys we currently have today... Or maybe it'll be better at that too..🤞
Hi Anthony, I just want to tell you what an amazing lecturer you are. Thank you, for taking the time to put together this wonderful two-hour lecture for us all to watch and learn. I have just finished watching this while taking lots of notes along the way over the course of a few weeks and this will definitely help with my upcoming contracts law exam. I cannot believe just how much content you have covered in two hours, and how comprehensive, and how amazingly clear and precise you were with each and every single topic, along with those excellent and humorous examples (especially the lawn mowing ones) you have provided. I'm a law student and although I don't study at your university CQU, I'm studying law at your Alma Mater, UNE, and I'm so glad that the law school I'm going to produced such a fine and sharp lawyer like yourself! Can't wait for more two-hour lectures!
Hi there, apologies for the VERY late reply! But I hope you are enjoyed UNE - and perhaps you have even graduated by now. Many thanks indeed for such kind words!
Greetings from the United States, Dr. Marinac. I'm a first year J.D. candidate in the U.S., and I wanted to thank you for the content on your channel. Because of the shared common law root of American and Commonwealth laws, your content has been very useful in my studies. Additionally, it's very interesting to see the ways Australian law differs from American law. Keep at it, we really value these videos!
Hi Alan, please excuse the terrible delay in my reply, but I hope your studies are going very well, and that you have caught up with some of the US casenotes I have been posting too :)
Absolute gold! I learned more from this video than i did in a whole semester of contract law. My lecturer spent the time making everything way more complex than it needed to be, whereas this breaks everything down and makes it so easy to understand. Thank you for taking the time to make this video!
Such a clear and concise overview of contract law!! Thank you so much! You are a gifted educator! The running analogy of lawn mowing was so easy to follow and linked extremely well to each part of contact law. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise.
Thank you so much ! I was so stressed out because of my dumb lecturer who dk how to deliver the lessons in a simple and clear way ! I was starting to lose hope but until i found your video by chance and i could tell that u really did save my life !
There is something about you Anthony, you are really the best. After watching this video, I’m able to explain it very well to anyone. Thank you so much. I thought contract law was hard, but now it’s one of my simplest course.
Ure an true teacher. Old school; informative, passionate and easy to understand; to the point. I was stressing about exam next month. Now I'm so relieved. Keep these videos coming plz.
this is probably one of the greatest pieces of free information on the internet that i have seen. thankyou so much for spending the time, effort, energy and sacrifice to put this together. you are an absolute legend.
Thank you Anthony for such a simple and straight-forward lecture on Contract! With this lecture I have known in detail what constitutes contract and what agreement that are enforceable.
Thanks Anthony. I think this two hour lecture took me two days and 10 pages of note taking. Thank you for really setting up contracts for me-much easier going than Carter! I ll try and go through my notes tomorrow and practice your summary method from your preparing for law vid. Really finding your presentations so valuable and also entertaining.
Words cannot fully express my gratitude for your videos, which are concise yet incredibly comprehensive. For a law student to-be, a non-native speaker of English from a civil law country to study law in Australia, these videos have really made my gap half-year count by giving me an informative overview of Australian laws before the commencement of the my study. Many thx!
damn this was so great! I am sitting the contract law exam in London next month and your synthesis has been the best revision ever. Thank you so much. Very clear and clean explanation. Can't wait to dig into the other videos of yours!!
Dear Anthony Marinac , hello from Turkey. I'm, as a lawyer, working on contracts these days. It is so helpful for me to understand English version of the contracts and legal meaning of the definition used in . I also get a chance to compare Turkish contract law with the other. Your lecture is so understandable even non-native like me. Thank you once again .
Hey Dr Marinac! Thank you for this and your LLB course. Great complement to my DipLaw studies in Sydney. Just finished exam. Now to focus on torts revision for next week.. thanks in advance for that too! 😊
How I wish I had this when I studied contract law 14yrs, I would have Aced it but I’m grateful I found it now, it is so helpful. Thank you so much for taking out the time to do this
Hi Anthony. Thank you for your video. It's a huge effort to create such a compact and fascinating lecture on this particular subject. I look forward to watching more of your videos!
Thank you Anthony, this has really consolidated my readings and is great for refreshing myself. You explain this very well and make it quite straightforward to understand.
You sir are a God send. I don't know why i'm just discovering this but praise God. perfect exam prep type information. I have contract law in two days and did constitutional (public) law today which i found this yesterday lol but it is a pleasure .
Who the heck downvotes something like this?! This content is not only fantastic, it's FREE?! That just makes NO sense. Thank you!! Question: Is American law pretty similar?
I know right! I always wonder why people downvote stuff. I mean sometimes I get a bit opinionated, and perhaps people disagree with those opinions. But I do gotta wonder what causes 111 different people to downvote a lecture on contract law ... maybe I should offer them a full refund lol American law is very similar, but in the USA you need to start with the Second Restatement of Contracts, which will be your key source of law. The concepts are all very similar indeed, but the authorities can differ. Hope this helps!
I was looking at the law school syllabus in Southampton and thought I was only getting involved for toxic reasons (status, money etc.), and therefore deliberately chose the topic that looked the most uninteresting to prove to myself that law wouldn't be good for me and I should look at other things. That's what I thought when I first looked at this lecture; it's a two hour lecture on contract law, it sounds like the most boring thing on planet earth, however this lecture was the exact opposite of what I thought it would be. I am really looking forward to looking at law school in greater detail as an option for further study and I hope I can find something that ties it to my other interests and that I can apply and get accepted to one. Thank you so much for showing me how great the study of law can be and providing an amazing career pathway. I am intensely grateful.
That's so wonderful to hear, Francis, thank you. A career in the law is, like many other careers, what you make of it. There are many great practitioners who do a lot of social lawyers and pro bono work to help those in need. There are also many lawyers who are nasty, mercenary pieces of work. Nobody can make you become someone you don't want to be :)
A big thank you from a 58-year-old guy in China who has zero legal knowledge but interested in getting to know something about it. I finished listening to Oliver Wendell Holmes’s Common Law on RU-vid yesterday, began listening to your wonderful lecture last night, and just finished it now at a pier in Hong Kong while taking my morning walk. Amazingly, I found myself able to understand Contract Law, all because, I sincerely believe, of your concise, no-nonsense way of lecturing. I also like all those cases you cite in your lecturing. They really help. I wonder if all those cases are Australian, or do lawyers and judges from Hong Kong to Australia to Britain to the United States cite each other?
Hello! I'm very glad you have found my videos useful, and a little surprised they can be seen in China! Many of the cases cited in this video are British, and (in Australia anyway) it is not unusual to look to other common law nations for guidance, including pre-1997 Hong Kong. All the best!
Thank you a lot dearest for this richly information we can’t thank you but may the good Lord bless you abundantly. One will never be the same after going through this
Thank you. Loved this 2 hour session. A 50page notes explained in 2 hours. I’m doing CPA and have a unit Business Law. This is the perfect and broadened my knowledge and I’m confident now to sit for my exam in November. Cheers 😊
Thank very much it means the world to me that you would take your time and freely give this to me and so many others! Be blessed. New mics and cams headed your way!
What a sham! It's meant to be Contracts in 2 hours, but it's 2 hours, 2 minutes and 13 seconds!!! Hahahaha Just KIDDING!!! Thank you so much Anthony Marinac! I used this presentation on contracts to quickly refresh my mind on speed X1.5 on my way to my exam and would never have passed if it weren't for you!!! Thank you so much!!!
Thank you very much for taking the time and preparation to summarise a topic that is extensive. Also making it interesting as well. Highly appreciated and a big help to consolidate the knowledge after reading thousands of pages of texts.
Anthony, this a great lecture. I used the lecture notes for my contract exam. The Lecture that you gave was concise, great information and knowledge and very easy to understand. thanking you very much. Michael.
Thank you for your time and for making contracts more understandable. This is my third time through this lecture (as well as doing most of your other contract ones). This first time through was a week into the course this time through is final revision before my exam in an hour. I feel these talks may be just what I need to push me over that end line so thank you again. I greatly appreciate the time you give
Hi Anthony, I wanted to tell you that you are an amazing lecturer and I wish you were teaching all of my law subjects. Thank you for all the time you have put into making these videos. Have a beautiful year! From me and my study group!
Hello Anthony, I just really wanted to thank you for your efforts and knowledge sharing, I really appreciate it. Your knowledge sharing had helped so much in my contract law, not saying my contract law professor was bad infact he's excellent professor, but I find RU-vid and precise to point relevant information more helpful than multiple university lectures. I often find doing double degrees and time management hard so this consolidation really solidified my exam foundations. My law grades are generally not that great but thanks to you and my hard work too, luckily managed to get a very good score for contract law. Now Hoping your evidence law lectures can help me too again. Although with evidence law state law is different but still most other stuff is same. I wish more Australians took such approach like you in sharing knowledge
Well, I’m not studying contract law in Australia, but I’ve found the video to be surprisingly relevant with what I’ve learnt in the class. Thank you so much for creating this video 🙏
Dr. Anthony Marinac. You have done an amazing job. For me, a non native speaker, I found it very easy to understand this lecture. Great thumb to you. Would you consider to make the same type of video for Property or Civil Procedure?
@@AnthsLawSchool I know you’ll probably not see this but it’s worth a shot. Can you explain to me why none of this applies to a child support case? It’s enforced using contract law, and as far as I’m aware is a private entity. Why doesn’t it apply?
Excellent summary and overview of Contracts Law - quite differently structured from UNE Bach course I'm doing - so all the better. Thanks very much for posting this Anthony. Good luck on the better 4K equipment
Thank you Dr. Marinac for the wonderful review. This one and your Torts episode have helped my break down complex issues and communicate them better myself.
@@AnthsLawSchool I am currently doing a PGDL in the UK and thanks to this video (and lots of additional but fun reading ) my Contracts module is considerably less stressful! Thank you!
I really want you to make the this kind of full course overview videos...of other subjects of law...such as land law, English legal system, equities and trust and so on so forth!!!! Plz make this for us!!! Will be very helpful for the students like us and for the students to come throughout future!!!!! Thankx
Thanks! This is helping me out with my Legal terminology in English. It's is taking me time to finish it because even though I've already have the Law degree in my Country some interpretation are a bit different. But I'm starting to figured out the reasons of some misunderstandings. XD
This video is super helpful thanks so much - helped me to flesh out my notes with much easier to understand examples! The only thing that would make it better would be if the cases/legislation stayed on the screen a little longer so I can note them down. Thanks again!
I'm glad it was helpful Maddie! I'm working on a similar one for intentional torts right now and will make sure I leave the citations up for a bit longer :-)
Anthony you're a legend! and I agree..you should make more for us :) ..just one small thing maybe for future videos..the sound is particularly low that can't be too well fixed by volume control...maybe in the recording?...Much appreciate your work..and it is more fun than our lectures :)
Hi Tom, thanks for your kind words! Since "Contract Law in Two Hours" I've uploaded several hundred videos, and learned an awful lot about more than I used to know about audio and software. Hopefully things are a lot better now than they used to be when this one was first posted. Cheers
