This is an informative video. It left out the achievements of Zambian Indians who have waved the Zambian flag high like Satwant Singh (Motor Sports), Mohammed Seedat (football), Dipak Patel and Amir Patel (Politics) and many others. Indeed, Indians are great global citizens and Zambia in particular! Great documentary!
Bonaventure: So lovely and refreshing to see your comment in a sea of racist and hateful comments against Indians. Most Indians in Zambia are highly invested in Zambia's success and they are proud to marry Zambia's name with their own. Many Indians who even just lived in Zambia temporarily, introduce themselves for the rest of their life as Zambian first, and then Indian second. It's a shame to see all this hate from fellow Africans against one of the best global superpower and cultural partners we have.
Nah, we welcome you with our well known friendly wormhearted Zambians but you asolat your commitment from the country that you are benffiting from if not selfish, some poor workers are treated so horrible. Some of you are known in so countries look at Asians, been in Zambia afew years, they are friendly participating in our communities and more.. Creating alot of jobs with open arms even though poor wages in some places. Most Indians are cold and not friendly if an Indian child becomes friends with you it has to be a secret from his parents no hate, but you are very different from other people you focus more in making your own money and transfer to India
Very true. I was in Zambia as a refugee for 12 years before I left for Canada and I know the hard work the Indian community put into the life of this country. My physics and chemistry teachers were east Indians. Keep up the good work.
They are not supporting African countries they are supporting themselves. Whatever businesses they are involved in the dont invest their profits in Africa and usually they detest Africans and native people. Its their option to do that but it certainly doesnt lead to good community relations.
@@blackgold1980 look indians and africans were both under british and/or French colonialism We as indians preserved our culture acted smart to make our country where it is today even though it still has a long way to go But many Africans kept fighting with eachother's tribes If africans could've stopped fighting with each other and became united the world would have more new superpowers yet to see Sadly all of us got trapped by britishers and the french There is noone to fault but ourselves 😔
Amazing show guys, right in the feel.. Keep up the good work. We the Indians need many more documentaries of this type to show the world what real Indians are.
Story Of Global Indians - growth, success & contributions A coverage of Indians in Africa and other countries. Their journey into these countries, their growth, their success, their contributions to their economies. A unique concept trying to motivate the indian community to take pride in their achievements throughout the world. And also to showcase to the rest of the world that Indians are not just a cheap labour force but are capable to shaping world economies.
Thank you for doing this video. I am originally from Chennai but grew up in three different countries in Africa: Ethiopia, Sierra Leone and Zambia. I am now settled in the United States and am founder of my own non-profit international education organization called the Pennsylvania Center for International Exchange and Partnership to promote international understanding through student study abroad programs. I have a partnership with Madras Christian College in Chennai where I was born and with Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in South Africa. You can read my life story "Journey to America" on my website at www. GlobalPartnerships.US. I would welcome the opportunity to hear from you. I will be in Delhi in January and in Chennai in July with 41 American students.
There is no brotherly relationship. Indians like other foreign groups are in Africa to make money. They dont care about the local culture of the country they are in and generally they despise Africans and black people in general, I have seen this first hand myself. Lets be honest about that.
all those people from India and Pakistan had been brought by the British to serve and help in the new colonies in Africa and after the British left they became the new masters and the Zambian still living in poverty.
Few years ago, no one in India knew about the Indian diaspora outside of US, UK and Canada. It's good to see how these people migrated to many countries and made them their home decades ago. I know it's not easy. Thanks to the Narendra Modi government that I came to know about such set of people. How can India forget them? Indians have contributed positively wherever they went. Not like the leeches you ask for freebies as illegal immigrants and asylum seekers.
definitely you didnt know about it.Indians in Kenya are in the 4th or 5th generation. The richest Indian in Sudan is Speke Sudhir.Indians are everywhere be it in the Caribbeans,Africa etc.
Not only African. Indians from north and west of India, discriminate against their own people too based on looks, money, acheivement and celebrity status.
What you are saying is true but your community hardly employ anyone other than your own let alone train apprentices. Thse are the things that build and benifit the entire community instead of just one group. .Salary is often so poor that it's hard for any worker other than your own to develop even though your progress is due to the nationals support. By no means are you expectd to run your business as a charity but it takes more than just going to work and paying your taxes to become a long term member in any community. It's time for Africa to close its door now and concontrate on the development of its indeginous people. .Of course it would be silly to think that everyone is the same.
