Oh man, I hope somebody can figure this out. From the other reviews I've heard, as soon as you get the Optics away from your eyes, you start to get major blurry edges, and can no longer focus. I was really excited about these goggles, but I've got a sharp nose, and the V2 goggles were a big adjustment for me, and they still push my nose a bit, though at this point, I've broken them in to the point that they are not annoying anymore.

This was the video that finally made me pull the trigger on the Avata, NO other videos i could find on the Avata showed this type of Acro with it. I wanted something for my real estate photography business to do fly through, and something I could rip with after getting used to it. It might take me a while to get as good as you, but im sure as hell gonna try. Def earned a sub from me!

10:32 You can. The head tracking function is in the goggles touch control. Just swipe down on the touch pad and swipe over to head tracking to activate. I actually prefer using the head tracking when flying with the "dill-troller". Can lock in an orbit pretty easily with a little practice.

@@gotobannfpv Ah yes, didn't think about that, but very likely indeed! Geofencing isn't a big think were I live yet. Have experienced it once in a city big European City when trying to fly my DJI Mini 3 Pro. Forced landing after 1.5minutes. Everything can be hacked, right?😉

I stuck with the V2 goggles because of the nose pinch that a lot of people have complained about. Not gunna lie, I'm having fun with this drone. It's great for exploration in tight spaces. Noice flying Steel !

My nose always hurts with the googles (it was broke and is crooked). Keeping the strap high up on the crown of my head helps. Imagine a line tracing along the top of your nose through your head and put the strap there. Less pressure Pythagoras. A real treat to see the legend himself toss the Avata around. I am patiently waiting for my big boy controller. The phallic one forces you to be cinematic but is surprisingly adept at that singular mission. I wish the low light was better. I often fly at sunset. Thank you Mr. Steele.

I thought the image was really good, but dim. Penetration was very good at 700mw. If exploration, or cruising is your thing, definitely worth a look.

@mrsteel you can head track, you turn it on in the goggles and it's the coolest thing since sliced bread lol. However, don't head track while using the FPJ Controller 2 because it can get very confusing lol. Also, there is a wheel on the controller 2 that allows you to move the camera up to what % you like when flying in manual. I use 15% but my son uses 25%

You likely had the camera locked to max iso 800, that's a good choice if you want quality recorded footage - if you just want to fly and don't care much about the recording letting it go all the way to 6400 works great in really low light for the live view.

It’s tough. I hit a chain link fence post going about 20 mph the other day and not even a blemish. The parts that might break like the frame and the prop guards are cheap ($20ish maybe) and easy to replace. I’ve been flying mine in acro for a week now and it’s so easy to fly. I think I crashed it more using the Mavic modes haha. For $630 (I just bought the quad. I got the v2 goggles and fpv controller 2 separately) I’m definitely not disappointed. I do only like flying in acro mode now and the nanny and sport modes bore the shit out of me so there’s that. Didn’t get the dildo since I had no need for one 😂

@@phildawe7172 , not his AVATA! Borrowed from a friend. There’s a set of aftermarket motors that are available that really make a big difference in power and I just assumed that it has them because of the speed and acceleration, although I might be wrong.

Yo. I got one. I love it. I used to build and fly everything from 1kg 7” quads to 180g 4” hyperlite race quads, and some early prosite hd stuff, but I took a break from the hobby so I needed to buy everything again and decided to give the Avata a try. I only have the motion controller right now but it’s a lot of fun and I can basically hand it to anyone and they can fly it with 30 seconds of instruction. I hope it’s successful so DJI has incentive to give us a proper freestyle drone at some point. I flew the first DJI FPV quad when it came out for 1 battery, but it was so fragile I returned it before it broke.

with more angle, you mean more camera tilt? I think the more you tilt it to harder it goes. So epic to see you rip it and yeah, the yaw issue is an issue but you seem to be able to manage it. Btw, on the motion controller, you could have turned it S mode, I think you stayed in N mode?
