I have wanted a C24 for several years and finally have one ordered so I can control Pro Tools the way it was intended! Your video is amazing for showing the features of the console. I can’t wait to get it hooked up and mix intuitively with my hands instead of the mouse. Thanks so much for putting in the time and effort to make such a detailed and accurate video Matteo, you are the best 🤘 Ciao!
Dear Jack thank you so much for your kind words. I truly appreciate it 🙏🏼 glad to hear this channel has been useful to you and many other music technologists enthusiast like you and myself. Happy to hear you got a C24 yourself, it is truly a wonderful controller! Happy mixing, stay in touch. Ciao!
Avid is discontinuing support end of 2022. Which means you could get 3-4 years use I guess. After the version of Pro Tools released closest to Dec 31 2022 its possible it won't work :/
Hey Buzzy James, I’m also looking into grabbing a used one for my Studio, but I’m curious though..in your opinion, are these still compatible almost fully with the Por tools In this day and age? 2021 going into 2022! Would love to know! Thanks man!
Amazing run through and explanation! Thanks so much. Subscribing for sure! Looking into grabbing a used one for my Studio, but I’m curious though, are these still compatible almost fully with the Por tools In this day and age? 2021 going into 2022! Would love to hear and I’m sure some others may like to know:) Thanks!
I appreciate it man! Thanks for subscribing no more exciting content dropping real soon! Also yes the C24 is maybe one of the last control surfaces working still good with the latest version of Pro Tools Ultimate. Cheers
c24 can be used to mix on Atmos 7.1.4? Im about to buy a control surface and this is one option, but I can't find any information about atmos integration.
I'm trying to resurrect an old C|24 in our classroom -- We have a studio with an old system setup but the computer had died etc... hasn't been used in a long time. Here's my question - Are you only using it as a control surface and bypassing all of the I/O on the back of the console?I have the new Scarlett 18i20 and I'm trying to figure out if I should use it's preamps or the C|24s -- THANK YOU for your help!
RVTCSTUDIOS Hi there, thank you for your comment. Glad you enjoyed the video. Stay tuned for more! As per your question, if you want to use the pres that comes with the C24 you should use another type of AD/DA converter such an Avid HD I\O. You Scarlett comes already with 8 pres therefore you might be well as bypassing the 16 pres on the c24 and simply use it as a controller. Do not use the scarlett’s pres in conjunction with the C24 that would be a very bad idea instead. I hope this helped. Cheers
Have you figured out the Ascii Map for the C24. When you go to utilities and then display ascii set, I would love you use some of these chars for the track names and then they show on the C24. I have not been able to find what set they are?
If I add a UAD compresser, will the DYN know to open the plugin to see and mapped all the parameters? SAme with Sends. The window pops up on its own to see the DAW send fader correct?
Skiroy absolutely YES. I can tell you even more, if you want you can actually map all plugins (UAD as well) to a specific rotary encoder so that each parameter (eg. compressor ratio) can always be found on the same location once you open that plugin. Of course with newer AVID control surfaces you can go beyond. Cheers
Hello, please help me, for several days the numbers on the LED screen of my c24 are not displayed, the screen is on but the numbers are not displayed on it, is there a button to turn it off or a setting to fix it?🙏🙏🙏
Nacho Nieto hi there! I used to, but not anymore, now o use a different submix-to-print method which I will actually share very soon on my channel so stay tuned ! For a bit I used to have the submixer hooked up for either FX return or even as a playback system in case I wanted to connect an iPod or something. Again moved ahead with another audio system. So as it right joe the submixer is not in use (in my particulate setup and configuration) Cheers
Hi , I have a C24 connected to a Omni, could you help me how is the best way to put the cables from omni to c24 and use 2 pair of monitors? I can not figure out yet, Thanks very much
All intel versions of Pro Tools are still working with the C24. If you want to use the C24 with Pro Tools on an Apple Silicon Natively, you will need to buy the Neyrinck V-Control Pro software to still be able to use it on Pro Tools Natively on M1/M2 macs. if however, you use Pro Tools on a M-series Mac via Rosetta Mode, then you don't need Neyrinck V-Control Pro.
