After waiting 6 months for Auxbeam to fix a problem with their switch system, it was time to replace it. I went to the guys at The Edge Automotive 4x4 and picked up an sPOD BantamX system.

Just installed an sPOD BantamX to control my new rear locker on a JL Sahara. Can’t wait to try it out. Thank you for another great video.

I had an issue with my Auxbeam and really no resolution from them, it would randomly loose power. I spent the extra money and went with the sPOD. It's a much better and robust system.

I had the same problem in my Semi, I do Oversize loads, whenever I would key up my CB it would turn off or on my overhead emergency lights. It drove me batty.

As an Amateur Radio Operator it sounds like there is a lack of RF shielding on the AuxBeam or your transmitter has some “RF leaks.” This can be easily remedied. I to am running the AuxBeam switches in my Jeep and running high power amateur radios and have no issues. I also have an AuxBeam in my camper and have higher power radios in there and have no issues. I’m making this comment with no disrespect intended. I just have the knowledge of the RF systems and how they can effect various electronics. If you find that you start having issues with the sPod suspect your radio system.

Not having any issues with the sPOD. The fact that the Auxbeam would do wonky things even with a handheld in close proximity. Auxbeam confirmed the issue and said to wait for a fix, but it's been 6 months and they have made no progress on it. While I am sure it could be fixed with some shielding, I would still consider it a design flaw that they didn't deal with it during development.

I really don't know what the issue with the Auxbeam was. Other people reported it, Auxbeam replicated it, but it's been almost a year with no resolution.
