@@SarraceniaNorthwest thanks for the info, i don't have a lot of them so i don't have to worry about them getting heavy, its just that with such a few pots it seems a bit much to buy the things mentioned in the video, i'm glad that can work, thanks

Note, they do not work on the flying mature flies, for that you have to use those yellow sticky stuff. I break one disk into quarters and put it in a netting inside a 4L orange juice container or anything convenient and fill with water. Let it soak overnight and then water you potted plants. This will kill the larvae inside the soil. Top up the bottle with water, use it at least for a month and then remove from netting and sprinkle on the soil of the potted plants, you don' t want to waste any. I discovered this six months ago and have been using it every time I water my indoor plants. Seems to work. Even when I'm preparing soil for planting indoor seedlings to take outside for summer I wet the soil with it. Hope this helps

No, it has to be ingested by the targeted insects. So it should be put into water bodies where they live.

I'm not sure. We never had that problem. You can try weighing it down or tying it to something.

no, this is a specifically targeted bacteria that will only attack mosquito and fungus gnat larvae if ingested.

What? These are safe to use and do the job. The water trays keep water in them constantly here because carnivorous plants need wet soil. You can't really put fish in the water trays. It's not just an "American" thing you can get these all over. They are an organic control method for mosquitoes.
