Technically battery on a LEO when he hit him with the door. With that being said this is a mental health case that didn’t need to go like this. At no point should that deputy have jumped on the truck as he did. Mental health is a serious issue in the US and it needs to be addressed but this is not the way it needed to go. The officer if he believed he would be able to send the suspect for psychiatric treatment or evaluation should’ve never let him drive off; unfortunately, there isn’t enough training on mental health issues like this for LEO’s and these deputies messed it up.

Yeah it's well known in every law book and every ancient tomb and scroll of law that if a police officer is investigating you for any reason, you have the right given by God and all intelligent life in the known cosmos to leave. Now full disclosure to be fair and balanced, there have been rumors that obstruction, resisting, interfering, fleeing, and eluding are sort of like, not technically illegal of course but sort of frowned upon or breaking a light social taboo of sorts. Of course these can't be a crime because as stated in the most ancient of legal lore, you have the right to disengage and leave no matter what the so called "officer" says, and especially if the so called "law enforcement" says they are investigating a crime or checking on the welfare of someone. How do we even know these "officers" are even real law enforcement? Anyone can identify themselves as law enforcement, anyone can get a police car or badge off TEMU. They should have been contacted by a JUDGE, the president, AND the secretary of defense showing video footage locked behind no less than 5 layers of encryption of the officer being sworn in and officially being given authority by the state. Without this you have the right to deem these "police" as fake kidnappers who can be left or fought in self defense. Besides, it was clearly stated that this innocent man was not against the law, and it was clearly stated that the so called "cops" are against the law.

He was a ticking time bomb. That said, by HIS OWN actions (driving away from when he was detained INITIALLY-that started the whole thing, being pulled over, etc.) pulling away a SECOND time.. he caused his own demise. The police saved his remaining family and community from any future harm. And THAT’S the duty of law enforcement. To protect and serve the public. They did that, CASE CLOSED.

How do you figure he wasn’t detained? He was ordered not to leave his own house. Then he was then he was pulled over for no reason, they tried to take hush keys from him. For what? So the cop could ask him what’s going on? That’s a detainment! They had no authority to stop him. He doesn’t have to talk to them. Just because somebody calls in a friggin welfare check doesn’t mean that gives police dominion over that person and his rights are suspended. If a cop responds to a welfare check and the wording says go away and leave me alone and using an obvious threat to himself or others, the cop needs to leave like he was told. Cops get it in their head somehow that a phone call us supposed to be taken as absolute truth and a grant of authority to do whatever they please in the name of whatever they decide needs to be done in response to the phone call. These cops kept ending with this man and trying to get involved in his business when there was no crime involved. And if there’s no crime, there’s no reason for police to be there. If anything, he was accusing his daughter of a crime. Why were they not up her ass? They illegally detained him twice. He said screw you I’m leaving. Rather than accepting that they had no authority to act, the idiot grabbed into the side of a moving vehicle. Then he killed the guy for not letting him harass him without justification. If you’re dumb enough to get on the side of that man’s truck as he’s driving off, you better hold on and deal with it because you brought it on yourself.

When you choose to let your anger take over instead of following protocol, something like this happens. It was COMPLETELY unavoidable.

Could have easily turned the ignition off and snatched the keys out. If he can grab his 🔫 and decorate the truck w 🧠 matter. Sad. This dude ceated this situation, and wanted to shoot someone.

The tweeker took off from a traffic stop and was given like 20 seconds worth of warnings to stop before he was shot. I am failing to see the controversy. Someone help me out.

10:53 Notice the officer that almost said "get off the truck" to the other officer. He knew it was unnecessary. Then the guy that shot him says "he hit [the other officers] vehicle." Which he didn't because he was deceased.

Why do they always decide to hope on on jump in the vehicle? He wasn't a armed and dangerous man. Just follow him to the gas station and arrest him. Yet another person ask police for help and it cost their life.
