Hi Nelson. I wouldn't worry about unloading the rear tires. Most of us up here are running loaded tires on smaller planting tractors, it would not be fun to run out of traction while planting. I really prefer to spray pre emerge chemicals on my corn, but what I use is restricted use also.... So that would be a whole nother can of worms for you. You sure are staying busy, keep up the good work. 😊👍
I think the water will be a good idea to leave in, didn't really think about it but I agree! I am going to give it my best on some pre-emerge, at least what I can get my hands on at least. I don't like the look of those wheel weights either. I was wondering how successful you would be in widening the front end, but you found a good solution. Two of my tractors required a lot of heat and sledgehammering to get them to move. Won't be long until you're in the field!!

Those weights have bothered me from day one!! 🤣🤣🤣 I got SO lucky on the front end, and there is a trick I was told about from a master Allis man, they "Allis Chalmers" really had the ease of changing widths to a science!! I am looking fwd to it, like jumping in the deep end of the pool. You know there isn't a bottom but just tread water best you can and keep your head above it!!! My OCD is in overdrive. Good evening Nelson. You're going to be all set and ready. I can't say that you're the only one who has issues with how tractor wheels look. An old 2 cylinder like an A or B with the dish in just about puts me over the edge. If they are the light stamped war time rims on that way I suddenly develop a weird twitch. 😂 🚜🇺🇸

It's not bad, but when you see all of the antique pulling tractors set up like that around here it grows on you. I left it that way for a spare now, who knows it may spray this year.
